Then when I saw the list I thought, shit, I kind of want some of this stuff! So I held on to a few things and passed the rest on to you! Hope you like it! I tried to forward stuff I thought you might like better than I would but it's always tough to predict others' taste!

	♥ 1:08am coelacanth∅: Eric -and you say that without seeing the list! i didn't even know i'd won most of it. i won a lot last year and i didn't want to focus on that, so i didn't really try, and wasn't paying much attention; but i won 7 lps, 2 double lp sets and 2 cds. some amazing things too, like Sun Ra and R.Stevie Moore; Coltrane's lost album... oh well. a lesson in priorities maybe. the biggest bummer is that someone would do it.

	1:20am rw: We talking about me? She's going to Mexico for two months to do archaeology. I'm kind of jealous. She'll have a great time. Maybe bittersweet. I do worry a little when she's traveling like that but she'll be fine.

	1:29am rw: coel, not necessarily, I mean it's cool and I've gained some insights through her but it's not my passion. She, on the other hand has LOVED that stuff since she was a little kid. Indiana Jones, Egyptology, that sort of thing.

	1:31am Julie: I bet Indiana Jones turned a lot of kids onto archaeology
	1:34am rw: Julie, when she was maybe 15 we had the opportunity to go to Paris. I took her to the Louvre and she spent AT LEAST four hours in the Egyptian section. She read every single didactic panel and looked at every single object. I was half proud and half going out of my skull thinking, "This place is huge and there's so much to see! Just get the catalog!!"
	♥ 1:35am coelacanth∅: hopefully she'll find something 1/2 as interesting as her fantasies about it! i think a lot of people just out of college get sidelined into boring jobs somehow related to archaeology -because there are many who go to school for it and not so many exciting jobs available. i wish her luck.

	♥ 1:41am coelacanth∅: nice. she may be more dedicated than most. living near a university i have met a few archaeology students, and one who stayed around for a couple years after graduating. she's who told me that ^.

	1:42am rw: The job she had this summer was hiking around in the mountains looking for petroglyphs and such. There were a bunch of fires out here recently caused by PG&E (power company) equipment. SCE (another power co.) is making sure all their equipment is up to snuff and she's been going out making sure they don't disturb anything sacred. Biologists are out there too cutting down diseased trees that could fall into the power lines. Again, jealous.

	1:34am rw: Julie, when she was maybe 15 we had the opportunity to go to Paris. I took her to the Louvre and she spent AT LEAST four hours in the Egyptian section. She read every single didactic panel and looked at every single object. I was half proud and half going out of my skull thinking, "This place is huge and there's so much to see! Just get the catalog!!"
	♥ 1:35am coelacanth∅: hopefully she'll find something 1/2 as interesting as her fantasies about it! i think a lot of people just out of college get sidelined into boring jobs somehow related to archaeology -because there are many who go to school for it and not so many exciting jobs available. i wish her luck.

	1:41am Julie: now the tap dancing part
	1:42am rw: The job she had this summer was hiking around in the mountains looking for petroglyphs and such. There were a bunch of fires out here recently caused by PG&E (power company) equipment. SCE (another power co.) is making sure all their equipment is up to snuff and she's been going out making sure they don't disturb anything sacred. Biologists are out there too cutting down diseased trees that could fall into the power lines. Again, jealous.
