I need to shower even though it's been T-storming the last 3 hours (you're not supposed to take a shower during T-storm, as the eleactricity can flow to you via the showerhead).

I think at one point, my wife went almost 6 months w/o doing laundry, she just kept on going to H&M to buy underwear (but she was working 12 hour days at the time...) (That was 3 large laundry bags, I carried two for four blocks, in the snow, that was fun).

Dean:

The Freight here is, I believe, the second location of Berkeley's Freight & Salvage, which was at the time of the recording in a small store-front space around the corner from a popular pizza joint. Shortly thereafter it moved to an amazing downtown venue with plentiful seating (no folding chairs) and glorious acoustics. The old site is now a fencing (as in "Touche!") training merchant. Been to some good shows at both locations.
Avatar 8:52pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

good to know, dean. thanks. (btw, i got your email, thanks, haven't had a chance to explore.)

corporeal
Avatar 9:24pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

Avatar 9:24pm
Linda Lee:

corporeal of corse! geezerette! hello!
  9:25pm
Dean:

I caught Endangered Blood at a dive bar not a mile from my house two nights ago. They were superb.

(When I think of Dresser, I think of Hemingway [and here Sverrisson, too], and when I think of Hemingway, I think of Black, who drums for EB.

You saw corporeal, I saw corporal... Both mean "of or belonging to the human body," though corporeal makes a clearer distinction from, say, spiritual.
Avatar 9:25pm
geezerette:

haha! :)

(Forgot to close the parens...))

This is interesting. I've heard both Mark Dresser and Gato Negro live at a flat in Oakland where dinner was served to all in attendance, including the performers.

I also heard Ton Koopman perform at my boss's house in the Hollywood hills, a recital on harpsichord of Byrd and others. Then I went to Oxford to work at the Bodleian, where I bumped into Ton on High Street a day before he performed at the Sheldonian.

I swear this is true.
