Kind of like taking your parents record collection and getting drunk in a Radio Shack. Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Garage Punk, Regular Punk and Old-Fashioned Weirdos. Hopefully you have the patience for this fast-paced sonic impatience. Not recommended for the fan of 4 minute songs.

I once talked to Peter Buck for a long time at the radio station and didn't realize who he was until he left. He was really cool.
Avatar 2:24pm
Mr Fab:

i was a REM fan in my 80s youth, "Lifes Rich Pageant" being my fave. Same em live on the tour for that album. By the 90s, i hated em so bad, i got rid of their albums, retroactively deciding i never liked em the 1st place! Silly, I know. But they really did suck in the '90s
Avatar 2:30pm
recordrouletteclub:

Fab- Yeah, I thought that REM joint with KRS-1 was horrible. Like..bad.
Avatar 2:31pm
recordrouletteclub:

Bad meaning BAD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm
Rich in Washington:

They sort of succumbed to the same malaise as bands like Talking Heads, sort of believe what critics say about them and it goes to their head.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm

Swingin' show today, recordrouletteclub!

Ah, the Dickies, they were the band i never meant to see live, but always did, cuz they were always opening for someone big. (Which was fine by me, who don't like the Dickies?)

I have 15min before I have to be another client call. REM, ha ha. That Radio song was bad meaning bad not bad meaning good. Never did get into REM, something about the voice... but do like Peter Buck and he is quite the record collector.
Avatar 2:48pm
Otis Fodder:

Oh, you played The Brood, nice! Will be listening to the archive ya bet!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm

Hi Guys! And I too saw the Dickies open for lots of bands back in the day. I think I actually did see them on purpose a couple of times, though.
