Hi Jake and everyone : )
Avatar 9:15pm JakeGould:

Hey Medsion. Don’t you sleep?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm medson:

@Jake I get a solid 5 hours per night
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm Nate K.:

Hey, Medson. Starting out of the gate heavy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18pm ultradamno:

Solid Creation cover
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm Nate K.:

@Ultra, I dig that it's HoF doing it, too. Just on principle.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:28pm ultradamno:

I've got a single of them covering Human Fly on one side and I'm A Bug on the other. Conceptual.

TVP's have a good cover of Makin' Time.
  9:32pm gracegold:

howdy

Yo sup
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41pm Aitch:

I'd not heard of The Mentally Ill, there's a bit of fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm ultradamno:

They were from Chicago, have some of them relocated up there?
Avatar 9:45pm tak:

sounding like brainbombs having a fun day at the park
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm ultradamno:

It's a pity someone couldn't get reunions from Gynecologists, Solger and VOM for that show. It would be like an all star night of goonscuz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49pm ultradamno:

That is a lot of red hair www.whitemysteryband.com
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50pm Nate K.:

Tak, ha! I like it.
  9:50pm medson:

White Mystery were cool. Chatted for a second with them at Monty Hall.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51pm Nate K.:

@Medson, are they no more?
  9:53pm medson:

I’d assume they still are both a band and cool if that’s what you meant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56pm Nate K.:

@Medson, yes! Thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm ultradamno:

Good to hear from the United Kingston.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm Aitch:

UK got their own Trump now, Boris the boss FFS? I imagine there''ll be plenty of tunes coming out for that.
  10:01pm phillippe bastille:

good evening all. music to stack the dishwasher by.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01pm ultradamno:

Britain-Trump, "they" (voices in one man's head, I'm guessing) are saying.
Avatar 10:10pm BigCat:

did someone request "Boris the Spider" he Who, or better yet a cover thereof?

@Nate_K_
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm ultradamno:

Here's a list of covers of it secondhandsongs.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21pm ultradamno:

"The title of this third studio album, which The Staches recorded on their own with a Tascam - 4track and a computer,
in their chosen home of Leipzig / Germany also refers to their original home - the city of Géneve, it’s beautiful lake
and pathetic fountain"

Well, OK Staches. thestaches.bandcamp.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22pm ultradamno:

Seems like then the title would be This Fountain Is Pathetic since they are acknowledging the lake has a point, if only for it's beauty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:29pm Nate K.:

"Boris the Spider" was always my least favorite Who song as a kid.
Avatar 10:29pm BigCat:

right?
Avatar 10:32pm BigCat:

@ultrdamno awesome link thank you secondhandsongs.com...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47pm Nate K.:

Happy that people are digging this... It is indeed a dirge.
Avatar 10:48pm BigCat:

trippy ending
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53pm ultradamno:

I can understand Staches love of McDonalds more than Pere Ubu's affection for Waffle House though not as much as The Dictator's love of White Castles.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54pm ultradamno:

err The Dictators'..
  11:11pm SeanG:

heard this on Jonesy's show last week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17pm Scraps:

I can’t understand White Castle. Sliders make me queasy, literally. Even the name “sliders” makes me a bit queasy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18pm Nate K.:

@SeanG it feels remarkably, eerily timely to me at the moment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18pm Nate K.:

@Scraps, I eat White Castle maybe once every five years . . . for a reason.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:19pm ultradamno:

They didn't use to embrace it the way they do now. It was a nickname people came up with because they're greasy. So that's an appropriate response.
  11:21pm SeanG:

no doubt, it's hot out there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:23pm Scraps:

my roommate occasionally gets White Castle for freezer food. He doesn’t have any teeth, yet he can eat White Castle....
  11:24pm Listener Robert:

What ultradamno writes is correct. What I've never been able to get is the people -- I'm living with one now -- for whom White Castles are actually PREFERABLE to the product of other burger joints. To me White Castle's where you go when nothing else is open nearby.
  11:46pm SeanG:

what a song!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46pm ultradamno:

Those Laughner boxes are shipping now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm Nate K.:

@Ultra, I'm hoping to get the producer of it on the show for an interview. We'll see . . .
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm Nate K.:

Thanks for hanging out, everyone. Live music from Hash Redactor next week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55pm ultradamno:

I saw UJ posted this about Adele Bertei's appearance in it twitter.com...
  11:56pm Listener Robert:

My favorite closing theme on WFMU.
