Early versions of almost all the chorale preludes are thought to date back to 1710s, during the period when Bach served as court organist & Konzertmeister (director of music) in Weimar, at the court of Wilhelm Ernst, Duke of Saxe-Weimar. As a result of encouragement from the Duke, a devout Lutheran and music lover, Bach developed secular & liturgical organ works of all forms. / Pianist Alfred Brendel was born in Wiesenberg, Czechoslovakia (now Loučná nad Desnou, Czech Republic) to a non-musical family. They moved to Zagreb, Yugoslavia (now Croatia), when Brendel was 6 & there he began piano lessons with Sofija Deželić. He later moved to Graz, Austria, where he studied piano with Ludovica von Kaan at the Graz Conservatory and composition with Artur Michel. Towards the end of World War II, the 14-year-old Brendel was sent back to Yugoslavia to dig trenches. After the war, Brendel composed music as well as continuing to play the piano, to write and to paint. However, he never had more formal piano lessons and, although he attended master classes with Edwin Fischer and Eduard Steuermann, he was largely self-taught after the age of 16.    1:15:32 (Pop-up)

Four jobs in Gainesville, four in Tampa/St Pete, and one in Lake City (which pays really well, but its the worst of Florigia, so I treat it like a job in Saudi Arabia, although, it's only 20 mins and change on the interstate from Gainesville, so, if I get that one, I might still get a place here.)
