The World Music

Babegenush channeling East European village band traditions Tuesday August 27th at the Mercury Lounge. But there's also a great pre-season concert Sunday afternoon the 25th: Saraswathi
Ranganathan performs on the South Indian veena, precursor of the sitar, at the glorious Hudson Valley sculpture park, Storm King Art Center.
Saraswathi and mridangam (percussion) accompanist Ganapathi Ranganathan join us along with WMI's new Artistic Director Brian Keigher, who introduces music from around the world that WMI will bring to venues around NYC this fall.
