Hi! I can't hear anything? :-(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm

Ah! There you are! :-)

Mr Fab:

Hey ducky! Georgy, we're strolling thru a fair. Volume is low, but it is there.

Jason Elbogen:

I can hear you...

DJ GeorgyGirl:

Oo, I like this Piet Hein track :-)
Avatar 2:13pm
Mr Fab:

The Soul Survivors - I was wondering, oh come on, there must have been so many bands who thought of that name, all thinking there were so clever. Just checked discogs and sure 'nuff, 9 different Soul Survivors are listed, ha ha.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 2:15pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Yep, and I doubt these 11 steden guys were even in that list :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Mr Fab:

ha, my reaction too, GG. Wonder if i still have my old "Hocus Pocus" 45? Wotta classic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm doing a prog dance at the moment and occasionally yodelling :-)
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 2:29pm
Jan Turkenburg:

I love this song so much! Mainly for sentimental reasons, but later I came to realise it's also a damned good piece.
Avatar 2:30pm
Mr Fab:

there's a prog dance? I thought prog was the least dance-able music ever!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:30pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I can make a dance out of everything ;-) (Basically I'm waving my arms around and smiling!) lol

and I haven't said hello to our team leader yet... Hello Mr. Fab!
Avatar 2:37pm
Mr Fab:

Thanks! Love the whole circus mood today. I love the low-down sleazy traveling carnivals that pass thru town every now and then. Did the Netherlands ever have freak shows? Girlie show tents?
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 2:41pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, we had travelling carnivals, "kermis" and freak shows as well, not sure about the Girlie Show Tents... will have to investigate...
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 2:45pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Kermis was something after church mess (mis). There were big tents with dancing and boosing, which was the most important aspect.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Helloooooooooooooo! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm

I know! I was saying hello back, silly :-)
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 3:03pm
Jan Turkenburg:

I really couldn't understand what that guy was saying through the microphone.
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 3:04pm
Jan Turkenburg:

But it probably was "here we go again, yeah yeah yeah, go go go go, let's do it, yeah"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm
fred:

Sorry I'm late, I was writing a tediously detailed message to Kenzo about the playlist issue Clay ran into today (dev to dev, I tried to correctly state every step, I took notes at the time)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Hello fred!
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 3:05pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Fred. Glad you're joining us at the local summer fair.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm

@Jan: In some language, it probably meant "give us your money, HAVE FUN, give us your money"
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 3:06pm
Jan Turkenburg:

LOL!
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 3:07pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, I happened to listen to Wake n Bake and noticed...

I don't consciously remember Chapi Chapo now, but I'm sure I would have remembered if I heard it. I definitely saw that as a kid

Martinibomb:

Hi Rich, lookin' forward to Crate Diggers today.. hoping for some vacation scores??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm
fred:

This reminds me of a Rineke Dijstra video that was shot just outside clubs, with a muted/muffled sound and teenagers dancing. I can't remember the name of that piece. Does that ring a bell?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm
fred:

@Jan: it's old stuff, probably from 20 years ago
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 3:36pm
Jan Turkenburg:

ah, round that time there was a period in which I was too busy as a street and café artist and a band myself to see what others were doing :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm
fred:

Apparently it's called "Buzzclub/Mysteryworld", but I couldn't find a decent vid
Avatar 🦝 Swag For Life Member 3:49pm

Thanks, I will have a look myself later. You've made me curious.
