Clownvis Presley?! Is he really, like, a clown Elvis?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I love this song :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm
Rich in Washington:

This is my favorite G&C album. My copy is frustratingly missing its title track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

It doesn't have Freeze Frame on it??? That's not on :-(
Avatar 7:17pm
spacebrother:

@Fab - Yes. His whole act is being a clown Elvis, I guess.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm
Rich in Washington:

@GeorgyGirl @7:09: That shirt! It's hilarious!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I used to play this really loud to annoy my mother. lol
Avatar 7:18pm
spacebrother:

I still may play a side or so of "Consequences."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

@Rich - it's so cute, isn't it? I love little Peanuts' Donald Fagen :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm
Rich in Washington:

Yeah, I think it's a mispressing of a incorrect master or something. Freeze Frame is listed on the jacket and label, but it's actually Silent Running, a contemporaneous single B-side.
Avatar 7:19pm
spacebrother:

@GG - HA! Good idea! I WIsh I'd known about it while I was still living with my parents.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

My "drunk at parties" thing is the rapping bit of "Snack Attack" ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm
Rich in Washington:

I think I played that Godley and Creme Gizmotron demo flexi on one of my first Sheena shows. I think.
Avatar 7:20pm
spacebrother:

@ Rich - that might be worth something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm

They're just brilliant. I adore them. I wish they were still doing music together.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm

Wow, just ran back to computer to say, wow, this is unusally great!

And... yes to chili... try to keep the place clean, been procrastinating pulling out the stove, found a couple of peanuts and what I think was a slice of a plum?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm

The Upper Crust are hilarious live!

Avatar 7:44pm

@tw - I received a couple of letters from them when I published a zine in the 1990s. They lightly threatened me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm
melinda:

I feel like a lot of the vibe and esthetic was absorbed by mainstream film, but yeah, at the time there hadn't been anything like it that I was aware of.

I don't know if I saw Rumble Fish. I saw the other S. E. Hinton movies and loved the books.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

A rabbi doing Misirlou? YES!!! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm

I think this was part of the proposed "Miserlou Loves Company" show suggested by Rich or MBomb which I may still do.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55pm

Do it! I might have a meager Miserlou or two to add to the fray.
