This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

Avatar 7:28pm

Ayler - the most unrestrained?
Avatar 7:28pm
Flash Strap:

incredibly moving performance, i can hardly stand it at times, it's just too emotional
Avatar 7:28pm

..quite a sunset sky over NYC now, rose, orange, purple like a Monet painting.

@rev: quite possibly, and yet considering that the (relative) restraint on display here is beyond exquisite

@TDK: ah, wonderful... here is a lovely gray sky churning with Dorian clouds. not much color though
Avatar 7:31pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Right...I mean - compared to Trane @ his most Righteous or Galaxy-hopping? But Ayler just cries...
Avatar 7:31pm

he really cries, and you feel it when he does
Avatar 7:34pm

really nice look on the cover of this one: img.discogs.com...
Avatar 7:36pm
Flash Strap:

just wild about the way the vocals are handled here
Avatar 7:39pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Considering that Trane did a few things he was Melodicizing over Texts - like 'Alabama' on the Martin King eulogy - & 'Love Supreme' over his own poem...
But - for a Titan of Music - you don't hear Trane's own voice much @ all...
