@Irwin- wow- incubated eggs and hatched chicks! When I was, I made a plywood box equipped with a light bulb hoping to hatch eggs. After about 23 days and no life emerging from the shells, my father decided we had better crack open the eggs. The shells contained a dark brown hardened deposit. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

I got to sort of meet Daniel at KBOO radio years ago, sort of meekly said hi to him on his way in and out of the station, where he was recording an interview.

Sad, but not at all surprising to hear of Daniel Johnston's passing. Hung out with him a decade of more ago at a Folk Art festival he was showing at in Atlanta and he was in rough shape then. Love his music and his artwork. Rest easy, big man.
