Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 12:58pm

maybe ceres refers to one of the big ass asteroids/micro-planets hanging out with pluto way out there? dunno either.

Ceres is the largest object in the asteroid belt that lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
I've herd it pronounced same as "series"

Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:05pm

ah! Thank you. I Knew there had to be another meaning
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:05pm

This Elton John has some Dr. John going on in it.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 1:06pm

Hi Julie. Just as I first heard Daniel Johnston's music on WFMU, now I'm first hearing about his death on WFMU. Such a loss. May his memory be a blessing always.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:16pm

Was just announced yesterday. Definitely a deeply felt loss for the station and all long term listeners.
Avatar 🦇 2:17pm

Blushing was new to me!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:18pm

they are pretty new band I think. I had been playing their single and their full length just came out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm

This is a good set to listen to while I edit crappy descriptions of crappy cozy mysteries, crappy supernatural detective books, crappy cozy supernatural mysteries, crappy teen romance books, crappy supernatural teen cozy mysteries, boring business books, and... lesbian erotica (with a description far too vague to ascertain whether or not it is crappy, but it sure doesn't look that interesting).
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:25pm

ha glad I could help
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm

Do you ever listen to DKFM, a shoegaze streaming station? Its station IDs are irritating, but they play tons of stuff I've never heard of. And weirdly, a *troll* commenter turned me on to them! We have the best trolls! (Well, that guy, and Bryce's "marbles in a blender" guy. Not that other one.)
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:31pm

I am somewhat familiar with DKFM, yes. Enjoy but can be too much of a good thing.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:49pm

oooh Bill Mac is filling in tonight at 7!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:50pm
Phillippe Bastille:

Looks like a great playlist Julie! I had to do something with the audio off, but I will catch the whole show on the archives. And I'm glad you have stayed on the calendar!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:51pm

Thanks Phillippe! And thanks everyone for listening, see ya next week.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:52pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@ ɛɨk: I love DKFM! I don't listen like I used to since I'm kind of all-in on FMU. I agree the station IDs are obnoxious after the first hundred times
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm

@PB, I switch around a lot sometimes. Agreed with Julie that it can be too much of a good thing. Good choice at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, though.

Great show! Thanks Julie, take care.
Avatar 🦇 2:56pm
