In all the mess of my work trip to Nashville last week, I missed the WABAM question. So bummed. My high school French teacher put my life on the course it took starting at age 14. I love her so much and still visit her every time I go home to Chicago.

i came home from watkins glen jcouple weeks back ust on 14 and 17 (future 86) in the rain the whole time. i was riding east with the front. i got home and it cleared out. honda vfr stuck like glue to the road so 65-75 was no problem.

@LCBD I’m bummed too. I never caught the question in my listening to the archives. I must’ve been away from my desk. It’s the question I suggested too. My favorite teacher was my homeroom teacher, Mrs Thiebault. She recognized my artistic talent and encouraged me to break out of my shell and join the prom decorating group. I met a lot of great new friends and got some much needed confidence and am forever grateful. She and her husband became my friend over the years and I was even a member of their wedding party. A wonderful person.

Clay, today's Pidge Bridge caused my mom to have a phobia of driving over bridges. When she had her learning permit her and a friend accidentally wound up on the Pulaski skyway in her sister's car from Elizabeth and she couldn't exit the bridge. My favorite teachers were all in high school but elementary school, well, any teacher who did not send me to the office for speaking out, for wanting to learn more about English and History and for not telling me to "sit in the back of the room and shut up," way back in the 1950s in Paterson, NJ. Girls were not expected to learn or say much.

WFMU uses a dump button? When i had a show on WFMU, there was no delay or dump button. "The Enema Lady" used to call me regularly (no pun intended). She would sing nursery rhymes or the alphabet with each letter referring to a gastrointestinal function. If I hung up, she would often call back. No call screeners then! Just a bunch of us hanging out in another room.

@Motobro. Yeah, I remember WFMU being in the basement, the Old Yellow house on Springdale where I did a lot of my shows; then moving to various buildings on the campus outskirts. I probably don't know who you are in real life. We got away with so much but we were also thrown off the air by some dictatorial station managers hired to keep order.
