Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Vibracathedral Orchestra & Sunroof! | Live Performance in the WFMU Studios | Engineered by Chris Stubbs. VCO are Julian Bradley, Bridget Hayden, Adam Davenport, Michael Flower, John Godbert, Matthew Bower, joined by Jackie-O Motherfucker's Tom Greenwood. A joyful noise live in the studio today with the United Kingdom's finest purveyors of psychedelic noise. Matthew Bower has been part of such great institutions as Skullflower, Total, Ax, Ascension and others, and in his latest project Sunroof! he explores a dreamier (yet still brain-frying) mode of drone bliss. As if that weren't enough, we also get a rare stateside visit as Leeds-based Vibracathedral Orchestra, another continually-productive and amazing troupe of sonic explorers. A past avalanche of recordings (many self-released) have revealed the VCO to be among the northern hemisphere's true torch-bearers of the free-rock aesthetic that say, the Dead C have held the fort down on in New Zealand. Drones, bells, acoustic instruments, cheap casio, reeds, drum circles, and sounds totally alien and unidentified have all found their way into their records. First up, the VCO perform "Captain Labor", then Sunroof! does a short blast called "Limit", followed by a VCO encore called "Ridin' Free."
