I met Screamin Jay briefly backstage at the N.Y. Academy of Music back in 1971.
I saw him performed again in July 1972 at N.Y. Central Park where he wanted to jump off the Central Park stage and into the audience and he could of got hurt or even killed if he did that.
In the late 70's he was interviewed by Don K. Reed on WCBS-FM where he said he was a alcoholic.
