Not "boo", emphatically YAY
Avatar 11:58am Juke Joint Jonny:

My musical universe is big enough to accept both Purdy and Ringo are great drummers.
  11:58am clarke:

i wonder if pretty purdy played on the Bongo Feet?!?
  12:00pm Little Fyodor:

There's a video out there in which someone speculates that Purdie had been enlisted to overdub on Beat Boys tracks from the Sheridan sessions for release in the mid-sixties, and in fact he demonstrated that *someone* surely overdubbed Best's original part. And so, goes the story, he put "Beatles" on his resume and then when someone went "wait, BEATLES???" his story eventually expanded......
  12:01pm clarke:

my musical universe is big enough to aceept pete best, too!!
Avatar 12:02pm Juke Joint Jonny:

Love these Dahlmanns records, but boy, they are soooo good live.
  12:03pm clarke:

i definitely believe that the drum rolls on Daytripper are overdubbed by someone else
  12:04pm clarke:

and mccartney can't do pressed rolls like that (at least i haven't heard evidence of it)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Mike Sin:

Great interview. Very interesting to hear Al's take on his amazing trip through American pop music from the mid 60s to the mid 70s. Seems he came through reasonably intact.
