Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from October 18, 2019 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Can't be active listener / commenter today. Work will require my full attention but wanted to say that last week Doug's and then your cover show was the combination knock out punch to make me become swag for life supporter. Of course many other WFMU shows that I enjoy but last Friday pushed me to act.

What I am getting at is that if Mr. Ford thought he found something that was "purely white" then the joke is on him.

Archive playback time. Weird that your first set is setting off memories galore. Listened a lot to these in the late 70s and early 80s after I gave up on new wave and punk rock. Thank you so much for juggling the 10 inch disks, I would have been tempted to digitize them all ahead of time. But that is a laugh for me to say as I have not yet digitized any of my shellac disks. Ok. Will just listen until I have actual info to add.
