Rich & Tamar, My reading comprehension is starting to suffer because of the unrelenting racket in this house. Tonight I turned it off. Chresti did something stealth- she lovingly handed be a cup of hot tea, and with her other hand turned the music back on. Before long, the current New Yorker had fallen to the floor, and I was intently listening to The Humphrey Bogart Rhumba. Really, who the hell needs to know about the machinations of Jeff Bezos?

plus you've got the art auction tonight and morricone youth playing live to night of the living dead friday in monty hall, downtown music gallery hosting a tribute to steve dalachinsky who recently passed, aruan ortiz thursday who i highly recommend, and the gibby haynes/paul green rock academy combination was well liked by scott williams when he saw them earlier this year.

Scraps, speaking of The Hells Angeles, this morning when I was going pick up a bucket of olives to cure, in my rear-view mirror, about seven guys on the most awesomly savage sixties style choppers rolled up behind me. These were young cats who really studied bikes. To a man, every one rode a vintage Harley Sportster. No sneakers on this crew, they all wore engineer boots. They restored my faith in young people

i'm sorry to hear that scraps.

the bald person in the foreground of the photo is thoth, a performer in central park who tamar and i first saw when we started going out. then he went to california for awhile and showed up here again this year i believe. he has a high pitched voice, plays violin, provides percussion by stamping his feet which causes those things around his ankles to rattle. it a fun little show that confuses quite a few people. on the day of the photo there were wedding photos being taken which you make out on the steps in the background.
