	4:20pm JakeGould: WBAI getting shut down is not shocking. Whatever the claims are about the legality of the shut down aside, WBAI has been unlistenable for years. But WNYC kicking John Schaefer to the curb and declaring the “sunsetting” of music programming is really horrible. Focusing WNYC strictly on being a radio news source without arts coverage is a really bad move. Case in point: WBAI truly started to become a loon ball place when they ditched arts programming. Ditto with tons of other places.

OMFG.

But WNYC kicking John Schaefer to the curb and declaring the “sunsetting” of music programming is really horrible. Focusing WNYC strictly on being a radio news source without arts coverage is a really bad move. Case in point: WBAI truly started to become a loon ball place when they ditched arts programming. Ditto with tons of other places.
