Hello, David, all is well here, hope likewise there.
I recall a Didion story about Morrison dropping by her house just off Sunset Blvd. and spending hours looking at his transformed body in a mirror. He'd discovered speed, and Jim was not a fat boy after that.

@Jeffrey Happy Birthday and I agree with you,baseball is a beautiful game. (a crazy series now)
  8:02am David in London:

Most kind Nulsh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:02am LynnsBrother:

Hey, have a good day Jeffrey. Wow this show with interviews is amazing. I remember seeing Koyaanisqatsi live at the Beacon theatre with Philip Glass directing, back in the 80's. Thanks for playing that Carol.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am ParUbi:

I saw him perform with his group for Powaqqatsi in Ann Arbor. Must have been early 90s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06am Ken From Hyde Park:

Good morning, Carol and listeners. Did you know that if you listen closely at Beethoven's grave site, you can hear his music playing backwards?

He is decomposing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06am ParUbi:

Koyaanisqatsi still gives me goosebumps when I hear it, and has become my curse word for technically alienated culture and environmental negligence.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07am Ignatatus666:

@Jeffery Happy Birthmoon
This weekend is Duane from the Duane trains MoonBirth celebration
As well
@Carol
Any dude from Putnam Valley that recognizes the WoofMoo is an alright dude
@Spamoni
He’s awesome.waiting in the dark
He tells me about all the ghosts that visit while I’m at work
And I tell him about the freaks I met at work
But Rainey weather depresses him :(
Avatar 8:08am John from NP:

@spamoni no need to apologize. I'm sure John fFP has to do his hair also :)
  8:10am John from Florham park:

@Carol because of this station I have given up completely on commercial music radio and cable news because of it all trump all the time,I don’t even listen to NPR anymore@for news I do listen to BBC and the CBC and voice of America, I may not have the money right now to send to this station but I spread the gospel of WFMU to the unwashed masses
  8:11am John from Florham park:

@JNP have to do just that after breakfast
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12am CarolCrow:

Good morning everyone! I forgot to announce that 2nd set! Sorry! Will do in a bit:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16am Ignatatus666:

That intro with his wife was excellent
I listen to music much in the same way
I can put myself in the room by his description
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17am ParUbi:

I like what the pledging listener wrote. Shows like this demonstrate why DJs cannot be replaced with algorithmically generated playlists.
Avatar 8:19am I was Dave Bowman:

I've been up for less than 2hrs and I'm already on my fifth cup of Joe. Pabs....send me beer.
  8:19am John from Florham park:

@Parubi a lot of the shows on this station really have you listening and before you know it it is hours later and you still have stuff to do
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19am Pablexa™:

tdk - i thought they went off the air a couple of weeks ago.
  Swag For Life Member 8:51am tadpoles:

Hi Carol. Great show thanks. The Roxy song should read "in Every Dream Home A Heartache" on the playlist. Bryan Ferry was very influenced by his professor at art school the great English Pop Artist Richard Hamilton whose famous piece "Just what is it that makes today's homes so different, so appealing?" I always think of when I hear that Roxy song. Cheers.
Avatar 8:51am John from NP:

@John FFP yeah, retail institution. Pabs is a good singer, especially when high notes are involved
  8:51am David in London:

Great show today Carol. Top work.

I think I'd have a hard time trusting anyone who didn't feel their human emotions were repressed in School.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52am Stephen O:

Thank you, Carol for all your work on this inspiring special episode. I will be revisiting this one for sure. Wow
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52am Ignatatus666:

Even American Pop didn’t come close to taking the mind adrift in its story as well as the Wall did.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52am Nulsh:

Thanks Carol!
