  5:37pm JimB:

Thanks for playing Kate's original full-soprano version!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:37pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@yerfriendpaul: Both you and Therese nailed your songs. A fun night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm Mr. Pumpy:

Damn...what a great song. I was out and just got home and tuned in to Cave/Minogue. Excellent...and apropos to my general mood. Thanks, Therese!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm Therese:

Thanks to everyone who came out to Clay Pigeon's karaoke extravaganza last night. You were all aces!
  6:07pm yerfriendpaul:

Great seeing you LWRhino! That was a great time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm Therese:

You were a tough act to follow, @yerfriendpaul! (I'm assuming you were the Paul who preceded me?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Mr. Pumpy:

Therese, My recent listening choices have been influenced slightly by Ken Burns' newly released doc on Country music. How about you? Lefty Frizzell makes me think perhaps, but you do have a broad palette, so perhaps not.
  6:12pm ?:

Therese Karaoke Rules √√√√√
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm Therese:

@Mr. Pumpy- I haven't seen the doc yet, but we do have the soundtrack in our new bin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm Tome:

LOVE LOVE Laura's voice it's like "butta" !<>! great stuff Therese as always and love that you in this time now also !<>!
Avatar 6:14pm Franco Twinkie:

I think of country music as O.G. Goth.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm Therese:

For sure, @Franco Twinkie.
  6:15pm melinda:

I’m a big fan of Gord but I think I like this version better.
Avatar 6:16pm northguineahills:

Lefty! Laura!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16pm xtrakrispy:

Had to stop making dinner to login and clicky-star this version of Edmund Fitz. Awesome.
Avatar 6:17pm northguineahills:

@Mr. Pumpy: I have a deep country collection, and since seeing the doc, I have so many earworms infiltrating my head weeks later....
Avatar 6:18pm TDK60:

Yow, hadn't heard this Leon R. in several eons..
  6:22pm moe:

great set of tunes...
  6:23pm Jett:

I prefer Screamin' Jay
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24pm Mr. Pumpy:

@Therese...I'd suggest the soundtrack, but the film is quite impressive!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24pm Mr. Pumpy:

@Franco...definitely!
  6:24pm Jett:

Always nice to hear Townes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:25pm Mr. Pumpy:

@northgui...me as well! I brought me back to so many things I hadn't paid attention to in years and connected dots for me that I hadn't known of. Great stuff.
Avatar 6:27pm northguineahills:

y mi Tambien, Mr Pumpy…(albeit I've read a lot of pre-1950s folk/country). It was a millions times better then the dumpster fire that was Burns' Jazz Doc'.
  6:28pm Jett:

Heavy Ian and Sylvia influence on this Kacy and Clayton apparently.
Avatar 6:32pm SheWolf:

Oh crud. Nobody does depressing better than Bruce.
Avatar 6:33pm John from NP:

Oh nice! One of my favorite albums, just incredible
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm Therese:

And Bruce has never rarely been more depressing than he is on Nebraska, @SheWolf
  6:37pm Jett:

Loved Kirsty from Stiff records days, very sad how she passed. Will always love her!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38pm MD:

ONE OF MY FAVORITE MURDER BALLADS EVER!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45pm ParUbi:

Happy to have seen Vic Chestnutt before he died, sad about the other side of that.
Avatar 6:47pm Franco Twinkie:

Update! The Night The Lights Went Out In Sonoma.
Avatar 6:49pm TDK60:

Your power off Franco?
Avatar 6:52pm Franco Twinkie:

No, TDK. We're in the Southern California, which dosen't mean we're spared. The wind is just starting to kick up.
Avatar 6:55pm TDK60:

The Fabio - Clay meetings /don't/ work! That's why it's funny.
Avatar 6:55pm Franco Twinkie:

The Odd Couple.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm ParUbi:

That was such an intense scene. Goosebumps
Avatar 6:56pm SheWolf:

Llorando?? You're killing me Therese.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm Therese:

But the friendship and affection between the two is REAL, @TDK60
Avatar 6:58pm TDK60:

Oh yeah, Therese.

Waves to JB
  7:02pm Jett:

I can never get enough of Syd's Pink Floyd. I love the Piper lp.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm Mr. Pumpy:

Nothing like a little Piper on a Sunday night...
Avatar 7:05pm Franco Twinkie:

When I was a young demon, that Pink Floyd song made me want to join a band. Now that I'm older than time itself, I call the cops every time a dog barks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm Pablexa™:

RIP Fiendish Phone Quiz
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm ParUbi:

I never really liked Pink Floyd until I heard the early stuff. Still, I stop listening at around 1970.
Avatar 7:10pm SheWolf:

I credit the Jesus and Mary Chain with introducing me to Syd Barrett. Still love them both.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm listener 126464:

Fiend Club
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Stevel:

Jeepers!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm ParUbi:

People used to compare the singer of the Pink Dots to Pink Floyd (this was before I knew anything), so I played some LPD for a PF fan. She said "Ew, that sounds like the early stuff," so I knew I had to take a listen.
  7:14pm andrewb:

I'm trying to leave the house and fmu is playing the best set in the history of radio
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm Mr. Pumpy:

Damn(ed)! Lining them up and knocking them down! This came out a year or two after I had gotten into The Damned, and it holds a special place in my heart. I built a tree-house in upstate New York as a lad with this and The Top by The Cure as the soundtrack. Ahh...youth! And now Creeping Death...nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm listener 126464:

wait 5 minutes
  7:15pm ignatatus666:

The last great release by Metallica is creeping death 12” . After this release all of their songs were just remixes of Creeping Death.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm Tome:

Ride the Lighning ,, was a wowed sou fan then ,,that record blew the top off the top then again I was 22 then lolz !<>! but still like it !<>!
  7:17pm Jett:

@Shewolf I love them both also, but I was already a Syd fan before the first Jesus and Mary Chain single on Creation.
Avatar 7:17pm Franco Twinkie:

ParUbi, no shit! I'm trying to load my truck, but this is making it difficult.
Avatar 7:19pm Franco Twinkie:

I meant andrewb, sorry!
Avatar 7:20pm Franco Twinkie:

I'm going outside now.
  7:22pm Dean:

“Therese’s Show” huh? Don’t think I’ve ever caught this show before, but I like what I’ve been hearing!
  7:35pm phat:

That Loser's Lounge is something else.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm Ignatatus666:

@Tome
Ride the lightning was a Masterpiece. I agree. The Creeping Death 12” broke it down simply. Actually was released prior to the LP. I had it on a Picture Disc. We didn’t have the luxury of Seton Hall in our area due to a weak signal. We depended on record covers that looked cool as well as fanzines like MetalHammer and Kerrang.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm Therese:

FYI: Clay Pigeon will be performing with the Loser's Lounge this Friday at White Eagle Hall. Get your tickets now, Glisteners!
Avatar 7:54pm Special Monkey:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Therese. See you in November, after the time change!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm listener 126464:

Thanks Therese
