Radiator Lady! One my favorite weird movies, Eraserhead.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm

I do think Eraserhead is a profoundly spiritual film.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm

My arc, Donut King? Hated, hated hated the non-stop play of ST all thru H.S. Then, I saw a Roger Hodgson video with the loin cloth in the 80's and everything changed
  1:28pm
Ochre Ochre:

@ParUbi- Interesting, would love to hear your explanation on that. I meant weird in a good way, like 'Repulsion' so weird but good.

  1:34pm
Ochre Ochre:

Wonder if Iggy Pop wears a loin cloth around the house?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm
ParUbi:

@O O -- I'm trying to make sense of what DL said about the film itself (he said something like "it's my most spiritual film," but he then refused to explain this). I think it's about human embodiment and a kind of ... internal alienation from our material existence. In this light, I line the fake chickens up with the horrifying, oozing baby. And there is the mythic role of the scarred foreman. Just a rough sketch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm
ParUbi:

The lady in the radiator figures a kind of transcendence of those conditions.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm
Hughie Considine:

This allah-las track has a real Monochrome Set flavor (flavour?), which is a rare commodity.
  1:41pm
Ochre Ochre:

Pseu, Ha I called in last night on Seven Second Delay as Dracula and played that but some of it got drowned out by Andy talking over it. Trying to jam the phone line for Ken.

I loved the film, Gates of Heaven.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm
Krys O.:

A propos of Supertramp, the album Gist of the Gemini by Gino Vannelli is surprisingly good and he has a song on there called Ugly Man. That is all.
  1:59pm
Ochre Ochre:

YEAH Yoko, Starcrawler and the Dolls!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm
ParUbi:

@O O-- I think the foreman is something like a gnostic demiurge-- a power that sets into motion our fall into material embodiment.
  2:06pm
Ochre Ochre:

ParUbi- Have to see it again, it's been so many years.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm
ParUbi:

@O O-- It's worth repeated viewings, right? Anyway, that's just one layer. There's also a huge layer of sexual guilt, and though I think it's connected, it seems to have its own logic.
