i bought x-ray spex' first (only?) album for 5 bucks c.1978, put it on cassette immediately and never played the record again. i saw it for $100.00 a couple of years later in a store.
now it starts at $2.99 at discogs.

now both of my places where i store my records (aside from my own residence, where i only have about 280 albums) are likely going to not be available much longer...and i could really use the money...

i use streaming services that play full albums and often record them to a hard copy (usually a cd...i don't think it's called uploading OR downloading in this case. recording in "real time" through analogue equipment) i know it doesn't compare to vinyl but i pay for the higher quality and it's reasonable...and affordable.

i got my hands on another, similar model, that worked fine except the tonearm was messed up. turned out the parts were not interchangeable. this right when cds took over and dual stopped making parts for the turntables.
killed me but i threw both of 'em out.
