Beats mismatched. New mystic moods. The International Style. Pressed and dressed. Queasy listening. New ways to fail. More is more. Backroom room tones.

  3:03am Diezel Tea:

Hey friends and JD!
Avatar 3:04am Jesse Dorris:

@Diezel! Nice to have you aboard!
Avatar 3:04am Jesse Dorris:

How was everyone's week?
Avatar 🎸 3:08am B/wad:

My week has been lacking in energy, clearmindedness, composure, and confidence. Tuning in for my dose.
Avatar 3:09am Jesse Dorris:

Along with a spoonful of sugar or two!
Avatar 3:10am Jesse Dorris:

I'm convinced this is a Liz Fraser sample but can't figure out which song it might be....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10am fred:

A bit disappointing on the dance side. But I have 4 more dance shows lined up this week, hopefully I'll like them more
Avatar 3:12am Scяaps:

h’lo hey ha
  3:20am Diezel Tea:

How was my week? I'm gonna start looking for a few gig for next year, we found a guy to finish our kitchen which is the final part of our house, and it was my wife's and mine first year wedding anniversary. Also, I found out I'm gonna be doing a remix for13th Monkey soon! They're rad if you wanna check em out, but too over the top for this show.
  3:20am Diezel Tea:

New gig, not few
Avatar 3:25am Jesse Dorris:

Aww sorry to hear that @fred. Hope the dancing improves!
Avatar 3:25am Jesse Dorris:

Hey @Scraps!
Avatar 3:25am Jesse Dorris:

Ahhhhhhh @Diezel so much good news. Happy to hear it all! And get that remix into my ears when it's done :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29am fred:

But on the positive side, I saw Jessica Ekomane last week and I liked her music a lot, though I'm not sure it translates well to a record
  3:30am ben abs:

Morning JD and all. Shiiiiiit Moses! This is unexpected
Avatar 🎸 3:30am B/wad:

Holy Moses
  3:30am ben abs:

(And a vibe)
Avatar 3:32am Jesse Dorris:

Not sure I'm familiar with her @fred, what's it all about?
Avatar 3:32am Jesse Dorris:

Hey @Ben! It's a vibey kinda morning
  3:34am ben abs:

Was referencing the fact that Moon diagrams is drummer from deerhunter. But yes, vibes indeed :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39am fred:

The first part of her set was like a process piece, with phasing and build-up. The most impressive was how she made the sounds move in space, which is what is probable better live than on a record
Avatar 3:47am Jesse Dorris:

Sounds like it might be something exciting to be inside of, @fred, I'll check out the recordings though!
  3:48am ignatatus666:

Moving but gotta check in!
Making some scratch
Avatar 3:49am Jesse Dorris:

Glad to hear it @ignatatus666 get that coin!

Avatar 3:58am steve mcsteve:

Avatar 4:06am Jesse Dorris:

Good morning @steve! How is Berlin this morning
Avatar 4:14am steve mcsteve:

it's gray and foggy but the vibes are helping :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:22am Rob W:

The Minyo Crusaders are great! They're currently wrapping up their first European tour... I hope someone brings them to North America! This particular track reminds me of an old genre-hybrid album by Kawachi Ondo singer Kikusuimaru Kawachiya called Hoe Hore Hare Hare...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27am Rob Weisberg:

Correction: That Kikusiumaru album (circa 1995) is called Hare Hare Hare Hare - I left out an "r" ... for the record...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28am Rob W:

NO - that still wasn't right - I mean Hore Hore Hare Hare - sorry about that! Sleepy...
Avatar 4:33am Jesse Dorris:

Hey @Rob! I hope someone brings them here too, this album is fascinating. That track kept almost turning into Bam Bam!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40am Rob W:

Yes that Bam-Bam-esque dancehall / rock steady lilt combined with Japanese traditional-style singing is what reminded me of the older Japanese genre-mixup track I mentioned too!
Avatar 4:48am Diezel Tea:

Haha, about 35 minutes ago when I was about to leave the house for work my wife was still showering, and told me to turn off the radio. So whatever droney, unsettling track that was on then gets a cheers! She's an WFMU evangelist too but she can't stand the dreadful stuff early in the day.
Avatar 4:50am Jesse Dorris:

It does tend to clear the cobwebs ;) It's probably safe to turn it back on, now, I think the rough patch is over.
Avatar 4:58am Diezel Tea:

I'm at the office now, so have no idea what she's listening to at present. I'm always here for the long haul with this program.
Avatar 5:08am Jesse Dorris:

Haha some times the haul is longer than others! Going pretty and easy into the morning now!
  5:31am upstate sean:

Hey jd, fmuers
Avatar 5:32am ben abs:

Fantastic track title
  5:34am upstate sean:

I’m liking.
  5:36am upstate sean:

Title is a crackup
  5:39am upstate sean:

Bummed I can’t keep listening
Will check archives
Avatar 5:41am Jesse Dorris:

Title of the year!!
Avatar 5:41am Jesse Dorris:

Hey @Upstate Sean glad you're liking, and thanks for checking out what's going on this week!
Avatar 5:44am Davee:

Sounding good as usual
Avatar 5:45am Jesse Dorris:

thanks @Davee! How's all with you?
Avatar 5:46am Davee:

Ok for now and just a little bit better since I tuned in
Avatar 5:52am Diezel Tea:

Avatar 5:53am Jesse Dorris:

And that's it for me, friends. Thanks for your ears and for keeping my company through another Polyglot night. Until next time....
