Go back to the news coverage of when Obama won that Nobel award. He didn’t want it, said he didn’t deserve it, the news was highly critical of him. Daybreak and EVERYTHING!:

It is easy and right to worry, HOWEVER, the amount of students who are now learning rhetoric and rhetorical analysis (at least in NJ) is going up and up!

Will we ever know if the work camps in North Korea have any?

@ parubi. Books music, art, good food and the occasional interaction with a friendly squirrel is all I ask for

So lovely to hear you again on here Nicole, and so glad to hear book talk on wfmu.
Love what Dave Eggers is saying about the spaces for children’s imagination. I wish I could find my way to where people with a kindred mindset are...

I think it's sad that our schools don't include much classics and philosophical studies either, getting us to question society from a fresh yet informed perspective. At least I don't remember most teachers doing that, I was after all a very distracted student.

@Ignatatus666: Just give it a rest. A lot of DJs here express politics in one way or another. In your case I am not on the WFMU comments much anymore but every time I see you pop up it tends to be a female DJs show and you latch onto one notch of nonsense to complain and whine. The patten is strong. If you respect the station respect the DJs who create more than complain.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK RADIOVERT!!!

@Castor-- I certainly agree. For all we know, we get one shot. Better examine that life and how you're living it.

I visited my childhood elementary school in Brooklyn a few years ago. Almost no recess and the school yard is now a parking lot and storage facility for garbage. Let the kids play! That is how you learn.

The parade. Oh man. One time I took mushrooms and went up to Central Park the night before the parade to watch the balloons being blown up. F’en nuts
  11:25am

Exactly. Kids need physical outlets and diverse ways to be social, be able to act out their creativity and all, otherwise their minds get stifled. And adults need that too!!!

There was a turkey at the community garden i volunteer at called Petunia, she was given to us by a local botanica owner because someone brought it to be sacrificed, and apparently that was not the right bird to use. She was a very sweet bird, died last year RIP.

United we stand:

Iggy666: Calling Trump Hilter is absolutely NOT what I was inferring.
Some citizens, such as the guess speaker, are obsessed with the personality of President Trump, and consider him a mean person, so mean if fact that they feel he should be removed from office.

Hilter was a mean person. He was flat out evil, a murderer. He was one who deservedly should have been removed from power by any means.

The speakers suggestion to take to the street to remove our President is insanity over reacting
