Favoriting Cratedigger's Lung with Rich In Washington: Playlist from November 29, 2019 Favoriting

Rich in Washington's avatar View Rich in Washington's profile Favoriting

A three-hour exploration of excavations from the farthest reaches of humanity's hellish collective brain, through records, tapes, CDs, mostly scoured from country bumpkin thrift stores, creepy charity shops, backwoods junk stores, and even the internet - all mixed live. We don't judge, we just play 'em. Hosted by Rich in Washington.

Pure 80s. Shoulder pads...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm

Yeah. I actually dig his 80s stuff, before his huge hits anyway.

Coolness
  7:44pm
Waldo Ham:

I once got into a fistfight at a record show over a promo copy of that J.J. Barrie 45. A sixty year old woman pulled a bowie knife on me and gashed an artery in my leg and when I woke up in the hospital that night, I realized that she had taken the record. The cops searched her house, but sadly she had already fenced the copy of "So Long Bing" that I had hoped to add to my collection.
Avatar 7:45pm
Mr Fab:

No jury would convict her, Waldo!
  7:47pm
Martinibomb:

I once paid an old lady $5 to steal a JJ Barrie 45 from some random person. Great record.

This version of "Some Velvet Morning" passed through my record collection at some point. i still prefer Lee & Nancy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm

Avatar 8:23pm
geezerette:

Thanks, Rich!
All!
Time to reheat leftovers.
Avatar 8:25pm
Mr Fab:

I just had my leftovers!

An apprecition of Nancy and/or Lee among the 80s alterna crowd preceeded the 90s lounge revival. Maybe they were the gateway drug?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm
Kat in Chicago:

Ah, it's a theme set. Nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm
Kat in Chicago:

I went to a Friendsgiving and didn't bring back any leftovers. Kinda wish I had some stuffing right now. Mr. Fab - Could be!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm
Rich in Washington:

See ya Kat! Happy leftoversgivings!
  8:31pm

We are discussing reheating leftovers for a very lazy dinner. This set is a good accompaniment.
