I have the whole thing digitally, but that's it I'm afraid
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm

If I ever find this in a thrift store - however unlikely - I will shriek out loud. People will think I'm insane. This has only happened to me a couple of times.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm

OH DEAR!

Doubly worse for me as I love this song!

I love XTC, absolutely love them., This is an abomination
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm still singing along, mind you ;-)
Avatar 2:04pm

It's hysterical: clearly no one had a lyric sheet to go from - he sings a load of gibberish

hi Darryl (and all!). This XTC cover is baffling - why would someone settle for such an abominable remake when you could just as easily buy the real thing?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm

Hi Domenic!
Avatar 2:09pm

Every time i hear Lucia Pamela, I am once again amazed that her daughter was Georgia Frontiere, former owner of the LA Rams football team. That's some family.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

First chair bop of the evening :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm
Rich in Washington:

I wanna hear The Model from that LP!
A couple of months ago, Mary Wing of the 100% Whatever show did a huge mix of The Model covers. It was insane. I'm not a huge fan of 'all the versions of song X' shows, but it was quite the feat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Now I adore Elizabeth Taylor ... but singing was not necessarily her thing.
Avatar 2:11pm
worldsworstrecords:

I'll dig it out Rich and play it soon!
Avatar 2:12pm
worldsworstrecords:

This is better than the version that appeared in the film though GG

A little Nightmare Music...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Although ... this is my favourite theatre song of all time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm
Rich in Washington:

I used to work at this place in the 90s and I was adjacent to a large assembly line peopled by mainly middle aged women. For some reason, they all went nuts when I played Lucia Pamela on my cassette deck - they actually liked it for some reason.
Avatar 2:12pm
worldsworstrecords:

Spot on, Jan!
Avatar 2:13pm
worldsworstrecords:

It's infectious and fun, Rich
Avatar 2:14pm

Woman's/women's WHAT?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm

One of the other Sheena DJs - MB or Jan perhaps - played the other side of this recently
Avatar 2:20pm
worldsworstrecords:

...or maybe they posted it to the FB page. Whatever, they made me go find it... honest officer!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm
Jan Turkenburg:

WHAT. IS. THIS.?
Avatar 2:21pm
Mr Fab:

Oh dear. A little girl's "first time"? Did Gary Glitter produce this?
Avatar 2:21pm
worldsworstrecords:

Isn't it awesome?? It wasn't you then Jan who brought Kitty to my attention
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm
Rich in Washington:

Sprinkle some FOOKING fairy dust on it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

Ah - there's nothing quite like a bit of British cod reggae ;-)

This is appalling

DJ GeorgyGirl:

"A bit of Reggie, lads?" lol

Avatar 2:23pm
worldsworstrecords:

You pranny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

As Darryl and I can both attest to, the precise first moment of British Summer is not when the clocks go forward but when someone blasts Bob Marley or Aswad out of their car ;-)
Avatar 2:24pm
Mr Fab:

...or angel dust..
Avatar 2:25pm

Avatar 2:34pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm
Rich in Washington:

Oh man. I have to dig up this absolutely ODIOUS christmas themed christian musical record that my mother would torment us with. I think some obnoxious fundie relatives gave it to us and my mom would put it in her usual Christmas LP regimen.
Avatar 2:35pm
worldsworstrecords:

I need to hear that Rich
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm
Rich in Washington:

It was called Anita Kerr's Christmas Story. It was a horrible musical about a hippie let into heaven and how it caused unrest among the angels. Just putrid.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm
DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm doubling the amount of shows I prepare over the next two weeks so that I don't have to work over the holidays, and I'm almost at the Christmas themed saturation point ... lol!
Avatar 2:37pm
worldsworstrecords:

Hope you're all enjoying today's show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm
