But I will always recall certain moments of shared connections that occurred somewhere in time, in the vastness of whatever this existence is. I recall holding my daughter in the bright sunlight of a car park (parking lot) of all things, and being unable to see because of the light, and thinking of her one day being without me, and how holy this moment was of us occupying the same space and time together. In a car park, in the vast universe somewhere! I think that is somehow infinite, the fact that occurred somewhere in time. I'm sure your Dad experienced many moments in time like that with you. We're destined to be separated, but we had those moments once. His memory and influence will last forever and continue through the way you affect others.

	8:24am Dropof Goldensun: Clay people do say that. I love the Stranglers but not a fan of the Doors. It’s definitely due to the keyboards but the difference is huge. Although Dave is a bit over the top for me as a keyboard player I think that’s what adds to the unique mix of the band. Most of Ray’s keyboard playing makes me cringe. I hear more of the Doors influence in the keys from Echo and the Bunnymen. I’m a keyboard player named Ray so I’m sorry Mr Manzarek!

	8:41am Dropof Goldensun: @davehamilton - I don’t think that’s it. It’s a combination of things for me which all boil down to a matter of taste. Ray’s keyboard bass compared to the aggressive JJ bass playing is the biggest thing for me. Then you have the repetitive keyboard phrases by Ray that I just don’t care for. Very similar to the style of lead guitar work in the alman brothers which also drive me crazy. And A LOT of people sure love that! I just like things that change. Just because you play something tasty doesn’t mean you have then beat people over the head with it. What? In case you missed the first 27 times? Haha Hey, I grew up being forced to play doors cover tunes and I can definitely appreciate his ability and talent. :)

But I will always recall certain moments of shared connections that occurred somewhere in time, in the vastness of whatever this existence is. I recall holding my daughter in the bright sunlight of a car park (parking lot) of all things, and being unable to see because of the light, and thinking of her one day being without me, and how holy this moment was of us occupying the same space and time together. In a car park, in the vast universe somewhere! I think that is somehow infinite, the fact that occurred somewhere in time. I'm sure your Dad experienced many moments in time like that with you. We're destined to be separated, but we had those moments once. His memory and influence will last forever and continue through the way you affect others.

	8:24am Dropof Goldensun: Clay people do say that. I love the Stranglers but not a fan of the Doors. It’s definitely due to the keyboards but the difference is huge. Although Dave is a bit over the top for me as a keyboard player I think that’s what adds to the unique mix of the band. Most of Ray’s keyboard playing makes me cringe. I hear more of the Doors influence in the keys from Echo and the Bunnymen. I’m a keyboard player named Ray so I’m sorry Mr Manzarek!

Does that make deep purple or the zombies the doors? But really the stranglers have a totally different sound and it's apples to oranges don't let the critics suggest anything else. 	8:41am Dropof Goldensun: @davehamilton - I don’t think that’s it. It’s a combination of things for me which all boil down to a matter of taste. Ray’s keyboard bass compared to the aggressive JJ bass playing is the biggest thing for me. Then you have the repetitive keyboard phrases by Ray that I just don’t care for. Very similar to the style of lead guitar work in the alman brothers which also drive me crazy. And A LOT of people sure love that! I just like things that change. Just because you play something tasty doesn’t mean you have then beat people over the head with it. What? In case you missed the first 27 times? Haha Hey, I grew up being forced to play doors cover tunes and I can definitely appreciate his ability and talent. :)
