I was previewing The Man From Thrush at a vendors stall at the record fair a few weeks ago and they asked me to leave the listening station so this other guy could listen to something. I don't usually snap to conclusions like this but I think they asked me to leave because they didn't think a female would be buying records, like I was just wasting time while my boyfriend shopped. So I left and bought it online for cheaper. Kind of sad tale...

Record dealers can be so weird. I remember I was in San Sebastian in Spain of all places and popped into the one record shop that had vintage stuff and the dealer was giving me the stink eye the entire time. Then when he found out that I had records of my own he was all like "ooh can I take your picture in front of my shop?". What a boob.
