When I was a kid and was sick — like cold with a fever — and had problems going to sleep my mom would tell me that when someone is sick their big toes change size. And encouraged me to look at them while I was lying down. So I would spend like 10 minutes comparing my toes while lying down and… boom I would be asleep soon after! Distract the mind.
