	1:16am rw: Okay, I have a story that's totally out of the blue and too long to tell here but I'm going for it anyway... Years ago I saw a friend who has the same job as I do at work. I stood in the doorway and said, "Man, you have the coolest job ever." He replied with some grumbling about the job, etc. and I said, "no, step out here and look from this perspective." He stepped outside, looked in and said, "Yeah, from here it looks pretty nice, huh?" I'm reminded of this story because I'm feeling a little grumbly about my job at the moment and need a little perspective. Thank you for your indulgence.

Sometimes we both deal with the worse possible humans on Earth.So a Female Sergeant approaches my cab with a local drunk who is very belligerent. Throws him in the back of the cab and mumbles some expletives. Me:Sarge where am I taking him? She leans in and whispers in my ear...Nowhere Places....

	2:26am ignatatus666: @all Based on real life experience Puking in the cab is second only to to getting robbed. I keep tuned in to body sounds when they are that intoxicated. I learned to be in a position to pull over quickly and keep a window cracked. We do have a right to refuse a fare for safety and health issues I make the cops ensure the location they are going to( bouncers as well) and get paid up front . I also have the police make them do a turns to ensure that they haven’t pissed/pooped themselves. I myself have been mad enough to drop drunks off in a cemetery Nowhere near where they live. I actually have a reputation with the local Latinos population for doing that to Drunks thSt give me a hard time or have no money

	♥ 2:44am coelacanth∅: iggy it's good to have a reputation like that, so no one decides you're picking them out -individually or for being in a particular group. the guy who told me he's coming back with a gun, after i kicked them out 2 blocks from where i picked them up, is mexican and accused me of charging more because they're mexican. i had no such reputation; but in my area those types of incidents weren't that common.

Taking a car service home late one night when I still lived in Brooklyn, the driver didn't realize I spoke Spanish, and when he radioed the base to ask how much, the dispatcher said $8, and the driver turns around and tells me $10. I wasn't that mad but I kinda startled him when I told him in Spanish I was Honduran. He was really embarrassed lol.
