Dear Fabio: Who would you include in a list of the greatest failures in all history? Here are some of my initial candidates:

Alexander Krensky: Head of Provisional Russian Government before Bolsheviks took over.

Jefferson Davis: President of the Confederacy.

John Paul I: Pope for less than a year before he died.

Herbert Hoover.

Egon Krenz: Leader of East Germany for less than a year before fall of Berlin Wall.

Vidkun Quisling: Norwegian figure-head leader of Nazi puppet state. Executed after the war.

Peter Best: First drummer for the Beatles replaced by Ringo.

Perhaps you can suggest some more up to date candidates.

'doesn't make it fact, of course. i've found obvious blunders on one of those lyrics sites then to find all of them had the same blunder. they just copy each-other and probably don't know the songs most of the time.
...but -what i've always wondered is the relation between the dance names and "eldorado". but i know it's silly for me to think about that!

Us there an easy easy way to separate the spines from prickly pear cacti? It's a pain in the ass and I always end up w/ a few of the hair-width ones in my hand.

Avatar 5:42pm

the green part of the prickly pear cactus is known as 'nopales' and it's very tasty. you can sometimes get it ready-peeled in mexican markets. the fruit is called 'tuna' (no joke!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm
coelacanth∅:

i always roast my squash seeds in the oven.
i spoon them out and put them into the cast iron skillet. separate them the best i can without spending more than a few minutes on it to make something somewhat close to an even layer.
then i roast them. watch them carefully. maybe stir/flip them around partway through.
there are bits of squash pulp on them. sometimes those are the tastiest ones.
