Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm chresti:

Hi Therese and everyone!
Avatar 6:03pm huomenta:

Neu! track is simply salt to my wounds....... I mean I have had chances to see Michael Rother with Hans Lampe,Cluster, Harmonia (or was it Moebius & Rother, or did I skip both...?) and missed them all. Will be kicking myself until my last breath. Skipping the chance to see a Big Star show was damn good idea too.
Avatar 6:09pm huomenta:

I mean late 90s/early 00s were a mindblower in terms of finding about old music when my local library suddenly introduced Can, Faust, Neu! etc. into its catalogue and me as a "cannot-afford-to-buy-records-as-I-am-unemployed" music enthusiast, I simply found a new world.
  6:10pm choggie:

thank Christ FOR the bomb
Avatar 6:10pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

....had me thinking of JulianCope did NEU! - easy to do of course...
Avatar 6:12pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

huomenta just be glad yer informed enuff to dig all those
....& we got FMU.
  6:14pm choggie:

didn't I just hear this song last week?
Avatar 6:14pm huomenta:

My new finds are usually from an age before I was born, like getting to know Groundhogs a few years ago, so I guess I am a few decades behind schedule.
  6:15pm choggie:

looks like we're trapped on this mother fucjer
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm BVP:

thank you outer space for WFMU!
  6:17pm choggie:

Sun Ra Forever
Avatar 6:17pm huomenta:

@revolution rabbit well yes. I am also glad I can listen to wfmu here in Finland, as it is my primary source when looking for some new stuff (and yes of old stuff I have not heard yet.)
Avatar 6:19pm huomenta:

@choggie, if you mean Lenny Kaye& Fleshtones, yes I think I have heard it rather recently as well, by no means a bad thing actually!
Avatar 6:20pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Therese most grateful for your Program this evening.
  6:34pm Jett:

Nothing to be embarrassed about. Olivia's cool with me! She had some nice records!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm Fuzzy:

It was not a mistake -- destiny will arise, indeed. I like "Magic" too!
  6:35pm queems:

the iphone app is great, i’m commenting from it RIGHT NOW
6:37pm Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

Hey, Therese and all Therese fans everywhere! Great news about the iPhone app -- will the Android app work the same way?
Avatar 6:38pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yeah I'm stuck with Android too....
  6:45pm JakeGould:

Thanks Therese for planting a deep Waitresses track.
  6:45pm JakeGould:

Ugh! PLAYING!!!
  6:46pm JakeGould:

The best new feature in the iPhone app is it doesn’t start playing immediately when launching. I hated that in the old app and I can’t imaging that was good for bandwidth and performance.
  6:46pm choggie:

Ewwwwwww, bitchy girl music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm chresti:

..planting waitresses into our brains!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm queems:

hell yes, more bitchy girl music please
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm chresti:

bitchy grrrrl music
  6:53pm JakeGould:

@choggie: What’s great about WFMU is it plays a massive variety of things. For about 3-4 minutes out of a 1,440 minute programming day, your chastising who exactly?
  6:54pm GListener MW:

This is my favorite song about Ghost Rider since Suicide's!
Avatar 6:54pm northguineahills:

The Life of planting magic waitresses bitchin' riot grrrl music lost in Xanadu from the woofmoo mechanical fantasy box, tre manifique! Did I just some up Therese's set?
Avatar 6:57pm northguineahills:

I'm going to have to concur w/ GListener MW.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm chresti:

I think choggie was doing an intepretation of bitchiness
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02pm Listener John from NJ:

hello all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm Franco Twinkie:

How is a guy suppose to take a nap with such a new wave tornado blasting through the house?
  7:11pm Jett:

I was really hooked on that L'ÉPÉE album in October and November. Great stuff. Nice to hear "Ghost Rider."
  7:13pm Old Dave:

@FT- I find it helps drown out my wife screaming at NFL on her TV
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Aitch:

Forgot how cheesy the synths were in this Psych Furs track. VERY 1986
  7:23pm choggie:

7:33pm Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

Wow, Tortoise! Takes me back...
Avatar 7:35pm northguineahills:

  7:37pm David Colangelo:

Jeff Parker...puts me in a trance....
  7:37pm pp:

why is it so easy to ID a Tortoise track?
Avatar 7:38pm northguineahills:

what David said....
7:46pm Bob in DC and/or Virginia:

This show is glorious ... unfortunately I'm listening while on a support call with Amazon, which is as hideous as always.
  7:49pm choggie:

this sounds like a Love Supreme dinner music version
Avatar 7:49pm northguineahills:

@Bob: I'm watching a college soccer match b/tn two schools from DC and/or VA.
Avatar 7:50pm northguineahills:

Superb as per usual, Therese! Thanksssssssssssss!

Talk about cheesy- we saw that Pretty In Pink film on a date 30 plus years ago.
The TV is off now and we're cuddling with a fireplace fire thanks to you!
