I’m
Positive that your entire playlist will be songs I’ve never experienced. Annoying or not I don’t want to miss anything.
I almost made a request for merry Xmas to me. It’s not my show so no request
Avatar 3:19am
Nick the Bard:

Nah, requests are fine (and to anyone that's e-mailed me them, I'm just horrible at checking it).

I gotta be honest, I turned the radio on this morning and thought, "I don't wanna listen to this"....then gave it a few tracks and right around Astral Rider realized....this is exactly what I fuckin need this morning. Thanks Mr. The Bard.

All gas, no brakes.

Since there is no longer any analog music player in a car, you need to connect your phone to the car stereo using bluetooth. Some devices won't interface. This update helps.

VincentNifigance:

Basically you can steam WFMU through the app and run it through your car. Which is great if you are outside the broadcast reach of the transmitter like us in the rest of the world.
Avatar 5:18am
Nick the Bard:

Well, there you go. Eventhough we still have people coming into the store looking for cassette adaptors a lot (which we do sell)
Avatar 5:18am
VincentNifigance:

That's 'stream', not 'steam'. "Good Lord, what is happening in there?"
Steamed Apps.
Avatar 5:19am
Nick the Bard:

Yes, you call them apps even though they're clearly programs
Avatar 5:19am
VincentNifigance:

@NickTheBard: Agreed. Drop the Apple lingo.

It's like saying 'google' when you mean 'use search engine'

I kind of miss HotBot just for how ugly it was

Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Hmph, I've never had a car that even supported anything like Bluetooth. Mine uses cables.
Avatar 5:43am
Nick the Bard:

I THINK my mother's car had bluetooth support, but the entire radio/rear camera system got fried back during that really MASSIVE heatwave....last year?

Ken From Hyde Park:

Apps? That must be an Albany expression.

VincentNifigance:

@Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever): It's kind of terrible if you don't put a lot of stock in mp3s, which I don't. I just wish I could take a handful of CDs out to the car.
Avatar 5:50am
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Plug in a portable CD player. Handful of music (or anything) is easier to manipulate in the real world than any stored computer files without handlable media.
Avatar 5:55am
VincentNifigance:

Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever): I always felt that way. Something goes wrong digitally inside a file, it's very abstract and impossible to repair. Had a computer die in teh early days of mp3s that taught me a valuable lesson about putting all your eggs in one basket. Even cloud storage: look at Sony UltraViolet downloads, if you thought you owned that movie and ditched your Blu Ray/DVD to save space - you now no longer own that movie. Sorry.

Good morning all. Just finished shoveling the drive from the first snowfall of the season.

Cloud storage is the worst idea ever

@Kenzo: As implied by the phenomenon they named it after, what's more impermanent?!
