@fred (via Mayulo's board about the Pixies): I once had tix to a sold out show for Frank Black. I was standing in line and I saw a HS friend whom I hadn't seen in 5 years drive from out of town, whom I knew was a huge Frank Black fan, so, I gave him my tix and did not accept payment.

Similarly to you, when I was 16, Nirvana played at my local club, and I was there, but I hadn't heard of them, so, I stayed outside and smoked cloves (this was before Nevermind)

Curcura can mean curse en espanol, but curcuros also has a root that is similar as cursive, or elegant and flowing in Latin, Curcuro is also an medieval monastery town near Palermo, Sicily w/ some deep Islamic history.....

I've told this before, maybe on this playlist (apologies if I did), but I once had an argument with a coworker about Braxton's music. After a long while, it turned out he was talking about Toni, and I about Anthony. Neither of us knew about the "other" Braxton. The conversation turned surreal way before we caught on something being amiss. Wish there was a transcript

@fred:Still at UPS, but I have a face to face interview next Friday for a senior GIS manager for the county that includes Orlando....
I need to find a new place to live, as my brother moves into his new house in 6 weeks, but the uncertainty of income has me looking for roommates for the first time my wife and I moved in together 10 years ago. The only people that seem to need roommates are either sketchy or boring (I'm still expanding my social purview around here)

@ngh: boring looks better than sketchy (I know sketchy types that are not threatening but would leave you with their share of the rent more often than not). I'd keep fingers crossed for you, but that would slow me down as I walk through the still ongoing transit strike (one month today!). Still hope you'll find something nice for both job and accomodation
