I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm tim from champaign (now washington):

Bryce fought the law and the law got weird.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm ⓘⓚⓔ:

There is an evil Connie Francis movie poster here. She smiles, but it speaks in dark, guttural groans of liver failure and death to the blobby squid monsters of the dimension of ooze, trying to call them forth so they can gobble up our juicy brains. But Bryce's selection of sounds heroically repels them! They prefer Celine Dion... who, unfortunately, is playing soon at the Prudential Center. Let's hope she and Connie's spectral poster shadow self don't work together to ring the interdimensional slime alarm and wake up Cthulhu's best buds.
Avatar 1:18pm Hubig Pie:

Set blenders to "tango"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm steveo:

this is much better than when my spouse puts on the ravel channel on spotify (I love this; this is amazing)
Avatar 1:19pm Sem:

Didn't Sylvie Courvoisier make a record w/ Two Buck Chuck?

I remember that from the night of marble smoothies and smoking DMT. I think.
  1:20pm P-90:

From Connie Francis to Cthulhu all in one (long) breath. Pretty good, IKE.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Phillippe Bastille:

@sem where in the world did you find fruit flavored marbles for your smoothies? Can't find them anywhere around here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Carmichael:

Heya Bryce and blender devotees. Currently on puree ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm steveo:

has anyone ever seen Connie Francis and Cthulhu in the same room together?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Passaic River Blues:

Concetta Franconero = Baphomet! So it was written on the halls of the Stephen Crane Projects!
Avatar 1:25pm Sem:

@Phillippe: man, you've never smoothied until you've whipped San Cristobal Ivory Cream in a blender.
Fruit? Old school.
  1:25pm P-90:

steveo ftw!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm Carmichael:

Gomez and Morticia are cheek to cheek about now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm ⓔⓘⓚ:

I won't have done any heavy lifting until I've gotten that damned poster off the wall and heaved it out a window so that it plummets down into the middle of Broad St. (That'll be quite a trick though, considering that the windows don't open.)

  1:53pm Josh:

Bryce: ¡viva para siempre!
steveo: I can believe that. I just don't think that I've personally heard Pärt on FMU before, and I have spent a lot of time listening to both.
Avatar 1:56pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Been spinning a fair amount of Pärt at HQ this season. Stuck in the modern-classical Ps for some reason. Pärt & Panufnik others..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm steveo:

well it is only 4 times a year, on average :)
Avatar 1:59pm Bryce:

yes, that jonny greenwood!
  1:59pm Rory:

Love this stuff! So atmospheric, good winter time music.
  2:01pm Rory:

I can’t remember how to spell the name, but I’ve been listening to a lot of Japanese modern/experimental classical music.

  2:03pm Rory:

See I’m horrible with their names lol
Avatar 2:04pm KenW:

WOW! Penderecki FTW :)))))
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm steveo:

"For the [radiohead] track "Climbing up the Walls", Greenwood wrote a part for 16 stringed instruments playing quarter tones apart, inspired by the Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki."

reminds me of a track Bethany played a couple of weeks ago: from "Chiaroscuro for two pianos tuned a quarter-tone apart" by John Corigliano -- you ever listen to that, bryce?
  2:10pm Hi from Holland:

Avatar 2:12pm KenW:

Correction> Greenwood FTW!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:31pm Phillippe Bastille:

Ike: serious question -- are you freelance?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:34pm Krys O.:

Had to go into the production dept here at work and my ears were assaulted by iHeart Radio and that woman who does the announcing in the uncanny valley cyborg voice. Shudder. Must let this good music wash away the bad.
Avatar 2:36pm Bryce:

oh noooo, delilah? aiiieeeeeeee
Avatar 2:38pm Bryce:

steveo, i don't know corigliano!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm Krys O.:

Don't think it's Delilah. This is Z100 radio and there's a female voice that announces song titles. You can hear the same voice on the MTV awards shows too. It's sooooo far from human.
  2:40pm Rory:

Ike has been on the dmt/marble diet for years bro! Hang loose and party hardy this weekend! #noregrets (Flexing muscles for IG selfie)
Avatar 2:41pm Bryce:

oh yeahhhh, delilah's on at night. omg, she's an emotional cyborg. i really get creeped out when i'm trapped in a car with her.
Avatar 2:42pm slugluv1313:

agreed, Krys O. :)
different circumstances, but this lovely intricate music is definitely helping to soothe seriously frazzled nerves
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm Krys O.:

I think it's this carbon based being: www.radiodayseurope.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm steveo:

coincidentally (or not) Sofia Gubaidulina is also on the quarter tone wikipedia page (en.wikipedia.org...) though not the piece you just played

(the corigliano is on a440 12/3/19)
  2:48pm mic_pop:

Some of Corigliano's quarter tone piano duos make me feel giddy, like I'm riding an out of control roller coaster. Good stuff.

@Rory, a bathroom selfie, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm Krys O.:
