Strummy, shiny, shimmery music.

Bill in W.O.:

Hey Pseu! You got me on that Smiles track. I was looking for them after liking the TF'y-ness of it and got stuck on a 90's band that used to be in the cutout bins a lot back when that was a thing. Should have gone to Bandcamp first, duh.

You're doing a public service, Pseu. Not kidding, but kidding, but not. You go.

Scott Miller and I were in competing bands back in those days. He was quite a guy.

Omnivore will be putting out a batch of stuff from Game Theory, mostly previously unreleased, from 1989-90 (in the period between MIDDLE AGES and the start of Loud Family). March 20.

Bill in W.O.:

Ariel View are a problematic band to web-search. Really liked the Camera Obscura-ish track last week, and this is great too. Thanks for the tips.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm
Handy Haversack:

No prob! The Wild Irish Roses are a family band from New Paltz. Been getting a lot of play on WFMU lately -- really good stuff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm
Andrew_in_WI:

Is this that new Big Blood?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15pm
mariano:

Thanks for pointing that out, @Handy! I tend to stick to the same few songs on L&L (Tam Lin, Matty Groves, and a couple of others). I need to revisit the entire album. Looking at the track list though, it seems the song doesn't have the same title (assuming we're talking about Will O' Winsbury).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm
Handy Haversack:

Right, @mariano -- on L&L it's "Farewell, Farewell."

I love that album, start to finish. It really burns!

Hope you had a good trip!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm
mariano:

Thanks, @Handy, that's what I suspected, but didn't want to play it over Pseu's show. Yeah, Sandy's voice makes my bottom lip quiver. Died way too soon.

i hope that Carly song WASN'T about J Taylor
