Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Jason! Actually, i normally think your bed music is too soft and now I think it's just perfect.
Avatar 11:09am
Jason Elbogen:

Jan--good to know!
  11:28am
Martinibomb:

hellooo Jason
Avatar 11:31am
Mr Fab:

Laughing as I'm stuck in traffic to that version of Stand By Your Man! And I love how the act is called the Talent. Yes, they are.
Avatar 11:33am
Jason Elbogen:

Mr. Fab! Keep your eyes on the road!
  11:35am
mzmzz:

played back your shows from 2005 archive other day found your voice tone changed quite a lot!
Avatar 11:42am
Jason Elbogen:

mmz... ummm... other things have changed, too!
  11:46am
mzmzz:

but the proclivity starting "ummm..., ehh..." were still the same tho
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am
Jan Turkenburg:

Ummms are very usefull. It gives the listener the time to keep following your train of thoughts! There's a recent dutch study about that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, its confusing. Belgium is a bit like Canada. There's a french speaking part and a Dutch speaking part (and a small German speaking region of about 300.000 people)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am
Jan Turkenburg:

And furthermore: ask the average European to point the different States of the America on the map and you'd be surprised about how many don't have a clue
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am
Jan Turkenburg:

Yeah, we all know where New York is....
  11:55am
mzmzz:

i found Belgium was more close to Germany... well i was passing thru there from Cologne anyways..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am
Jan Turkenburg:

The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany are each other's neighbours...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:59am
Jan Turkenburg:

The stupid thing is that in English, in Netherland we speak Dutch, while in 'Deutschland' the don't speak Dutch but German
Avatar 12:00pm
Jason Elbogen:

If Germany had won WWII it would be a heck of a lot easier.
Avatar 12:01pm
Jason Elbogen:

Of course, I wouldn't be here to enjoy the simplicity.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Also we don't speak of The Netherlands (De Nederlanden) in plural ourselves anymore. It's Nederland. wait... I just remembered I'm supposed to do some PR for Frame Duggy Louder.... see ya!
  12:04pm
Martinibomb:

cool track
  12:19pm
Martinibomb:

@Jason Your voice sounds really good today. Very clear and full, nice resonance.
  12:29pm

Avatar 12:33pm
Jason Elbogen:

I've already turned into Terry Savalas in the most notable way.
  12:36pm

  12:37pm
Martinibomb:

When you turn 50 that's when the check engine light comes one.
  12:40pm
Martinibomb:

@Jason ever watch that British sitcom, "Mind your language?" Sounds like your job.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm
Rich in Washington:

as i've often said, upon hitting 50, I was not prepared for how fast I went from "Wow! You're really XX years old?" to "You qualify for the senior discount, right?".
  12:43pm
Martinibomb:

@Jason you gotta watch that show Mind your language
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
Jan Turkenburg:

This morning I heard that anyone outside China is more likely to get a venereal disease than a corona virus. I think that's quite accurate. Next time you tell them
  12:49pm
Martinibomb:

meanwhile over 10K people have died in the united states from the flu. wash your hands peoples of earth.
  12:49pm
Martinibomb:

hot water and soap save lives.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm
Jan Turkenburg:

even cold water and soap will do, an actuall doctor of the centre for infecteous diseases told us on Radio Focus last week
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm
Jan Turkenburg:

"soap and running (!) water" is what he said
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm
Sem:

Hello, Jason, and all, along for the last hour.
Avatar 1:03pm
Jason Elbogen:

Welcome back Sem! Hope you washed your hands before though.
Avatar 1:35pm
Linda Lee:

hi Jason! if I saw that image, I might be able to help you place her. no images show up now, though.
Avatar 1:36pm
Linda Lee:

from the sound quality, I'd say it's newer than the 40s for sure.
Avatar 1:41pm
Linda Lee:

the little i find on her says she acted in the 40s, but then she escaped hollywood to live in the adirondacks & that's when she started writing music & singing. she lived in the mountains for 8 years.
