These lyrics really speak to the times. I feel like I know myself just a little better now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm Handy Haversack:

That last song *not* dedicated to Matt W., I'm sure!
Avatar 1:20pm RetroArt:

Alan Ladd would've appreciated that Roy Orbison song- if Ronnie Schell is to be believed, that is (wink) (wink)

"Do it Bop" is included on English Dane's 1950s Rockabilly channel on YT. Great 1950s 8mm color footage accompanies the music.

I must say, I much prefer this side of Robert Smith!
Avatar 1:34pm TDK60:

Morning. Oh, afternoon.
  1:34pm DG:

Wow, so that's what the Maddox Bros. & Rose sound like? They were heavily featured on the Ken Burns "County Music" series, didn't know much about them but apparently they were more influential than you'd think. But has Hank Williams heard that song?

Luana died in her pad in Bixby Knolls. She was born in the same hospital as my parents. She was at vet stadium swap in 1991 when I talked to her. Keep on 45n' !

I asked Mack Stevens about that comic book. He said he loves EC Comics and Basil Wolverton. The man has excellent taste in art as well as music!
  2:09pm PeggyO:

COOL SHORT??? Good Grief! I thought they were singing, "You gotta have a flu shot."
Avatar 🌮 2:09pm Mailman Tom:

The world mourns the passing of Orson Bean. Born in Burlington, VT in 1928, died yesterday in Los Angeles.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm Handy Haversack:

... yeah.
  2:35pm mic_jack:

We're a long way away from where they played in the set, but I'm wondering, again, just how many Rhythm Rockers there were. The first ones I knew about were the surf band from Santa Ana, CA ("Soul Surfin'" LP, took over Dick Dale's slot at the Rendezvous Ballroom when he outgrew it). But as Rex has shown, it seems like there were Rhythm Rockers in every state of the union. Has anyone ever charted them all?!

Wow Man! Grooooovy! Slap Me Five! Ain't No Jive!
