At the record store where I worked we had a semi-regular who claimed to be Duane Eddy's first cousin. Part of me believed him because that would be such a strange thing to make up, but every single other he said was a hilariously wrong piece of music trivia. Among other things: Jimi Hendrix died in 1967 (two years before Woodstock), Lee Hazelwood had been pretty sick lately (he'd actually been dead for about 5 years), and Fats Domino is the richest black man in America.
