lothianman:

is there anything better in this world than a great blues instrumental??? doubt it
  7:25pm
JakeGould:

I agree! Once these blues artists stop whining about women, “the man” and all that other stuff the instrumentals are actually quite nice.
  7:25pm
lothianman:

guess i'll go ahead and answer my own question........yes...two great instrumentals. .. sounds like Brewer Phillips is rising yet again. well put Jake.......
  7:29pm
JakeGould:

“Blah… blah… blah… woman done me wrong… Blah… blah… blah… some places in the South are not very nice to certain people…” I mean, come on already…
  7:30pm
CC:

I kind of like liked the way Johnny Winter played his guitar instrumentals like three times around in between verses!?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm
ultradamno:

Not to mention all the bizarre menu readings.
  7:31pm
JakeGould:

Johnny Otis is an underrated gift to us all.
  7:32pm

Avatar 7:36pm
edelkakao cha cha:

ever seen the film Calamari Union by Aki Kaurismäki? This song (sunnyland) is in a somewhat iconic scene there, sulky faces of men who have just stolen a subway train for their ride.
  7:40pm
CC:

I wouldn't be surprised if some new girl groups pop up singing about a girl's best girlfriend stealing her other girlfriend???
Avatar 7:42pm
edelkakao cha cha:

why oh why is weekly world blues on at the same time with Crayons to Perfume. I know there are greater wrongs out there BUT...!
  7:42pm
CC:

as matter fact I think Johnny Winter has a song about his girlfriend coming home at 5 in the morning with that fish smell on her clothes?!?
  7:43pm
judy from croton:

Gosh that Amos sounded like perhaps Levon helm may have listened to him
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm
spodiodi:

JakeGould, trying to cram blues lyrics into "some places in the South are not very nice to certain people" is possibly most ignorant thing i've ever read on wfmu. hope you come around. there's a lot to enjoy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm
spodiodi:

and learn about
  7:46pm
CC:

I'd like to send this song out to Glenn Jones..!..hehehe
  7:47pm
JakeGould:

  7:51pm
Frownland:
