  3:18am lofisheriff new zealand:

Morning all...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:27am David (in London):

Hey Earth Walker. Quoi de neuf?
  3:37am Diezel Tea:

Hello friends and Sinead from a wintry Armenia. Sounds like Laetitia on the vocal. Or someone that wants to sound like her.
  3:38am Diezel Tea:

Haha, as always on this show the playlist wasn't updated, hahaha.
  3:39am lofisheriff new zealand:

Yay seeing stereolab in Wellington New Zealand in 2 weeks... Can't wait
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40am David (in London):

Hey Diezel.
Avatar 3:42am Stillwell Coney Islander:

Good morning Sinéad & you guys! Checking in from Coney Island
  3:46am Earth Walker:

Hi David. Breakfast penning poetry WFMU
checking to see if there’s a protest today CGT Yellow Vests en ville
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51am David (in London):

Earth Walker, a very good friend of mine lives in the south, and he's been keeping me up to speed around the protests and strikes. Hope your day isn't too disrupted. And that you get some good verses written too!
  3:55am Earth Walker:

Hi stillwell This is a trip but I have ancestors with the name stillwell ! who actually lived in Coney Island
Maybe we are part owners of the avenue
  4:00am Earth Walker:

Thanks David things are pretty much mellow here in Nice Not the Wild West
like Paris. Make noise make peace get results
  4:01am happymaan in Atlanta:

Morning Sinead , you always put a smile on my face Thursday morning.
  4:03am dan vallejo:

This one's quite nice, has an old rough trade feeling to it.
  4:07am dan vallejo:

Nice, nice.
  4:08am dan vallejo:

I'm a sucker for these straight slow beats.
  4:15am Jan-Willem:

Just tuned in, first song of the day a shangri la’s classic, followed by the Sonics! Waow its gonna be a good day
  4:16am dan vallejo:

Jan-Willem +++ agreed, good omen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23am David (in London):

@Jan-Willem - I second that emotion. A day that begins with The Sonics is a day to get things done.
  4:31am LizGig:

Sinead! Greetings from north Tipperary.
  4:39am dan vallejo:

Good chill.
  4:40am dan vallejo:

I was about to say it sounded like massive attack, but I don't remember this track on mezzanine. I need to go back apparently.
  4:42am happymaan in Atlanta:

She’s playing a lot of music that sounds like nick cave today.
  4:44am dan vallejo:

I saw the ads for his show in sf, and with weyes blood as opener. need to buy tickets I think. Just annoyed that the last time I spent a lot for tickets way ahead of time was for cat power and then the weekend rolled around and I completely forgot what day it was.
  4:47am Curious Tom:

Great set, Sinead. I had to give up my wee pooch today so this is cheering me right up.
  4:49am dan vallejo:

muddy waters, excellent. Thanks Sinead, great show. Nice fan service too, it's fun to be a participant while really just enjoying the show.
  4:51am dan vallejo:

Wow. Dusseldorf, Moshi Moshi. Gobsmacked. <makes diligent jots into notebook>
  4:56am dan vallejo:

fan service might have been a poorly chosen term, I thought I was being clever, but decided to read up on it more, and maybe it's a bit too unfortunately flavored. The guitar on have myself a ball is nice. purifying.
  4:56am happymaan in Atlanta:

I take in back Sinead, you lost that Nick Cave vibe.
  5:00am dan vallejo:

I've seen nick cave, and I think he would vibe to this pretty well.
  5:04am happymaan in Atlanta:

Here’s my Pom, his name is Russell

  5:07am Colin in Durham, England:

Yes Bill!
  5:11am dan vallejo:

Oh damn, I stepped out and missed the calllahan. I'll have to look it up, behind on what he's up to.

Checking out for the night shortly, thanks for all the great tracks again Ms. S.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12am Jan-Willem:

Oh Bill Callahan, when Bill sings everything turns silent.
My 10 yr old loves it also. (where he's usually more into Dance Monkey and Dick Dale)
Avatar 5:12am Davee:

Hello, enjoying the tunage
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12am Jan-Willem:

Enjoy the sleep Davee
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13am Jan-Willem:

Sorry, I meant Dan
Avatar 5:15am Davee:

I'm done sleeping for now
  5:18am dan vallejo:

Thanks Jan-Willem, when I was 4 my favorite track on the radio was 'walk like an egyptian', and it wasn't until I was 12 that I truly fell in love with music in an adult way. I would put on U2's exit and mother's of the disappeared and cry to them in my own pre-teen way. Ah, music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18am zivilars:

Iggy – yeah!
  5:20am dan vallejo:

Aw, iggy, and of course I missed the break looking up that callahan b side of so long marianne, haha, ah well. good night all! Best of best wishes for best of all possible worlds.
  5:22am dan vallejo:

I'm moved and I'm wigged man. Ohhhh, wait, it's can. Okay I'm staying for a bit.
  5:25am dan vallejo:

Sinead, have you ever listened to Holger Czukay's 'Good Morning Story' from his album of the same name? I was playing it at the front desk of my dormitory some long years ago, and a young guy came up and said 'this is can' and I was surprised that he knew. But it's this same drum beat and bassline and now I finally have had the same reaction.
Avatar 5:27am Davee:

I like this Orville Peck track
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27am Strandlund:

Good Morning Sinead...I've been listening to Transmission in the archives recently and it's becoming one of my favorite shows here on the 'ol FMU.
  5:29am dan vallejo:

When I was 17, I sent the Tone Casualties record label a crazy email, and they sent me a package with several cds and a bunch of pins and a note that said 'stay crazy dan', and it meant the world to that young kid. It's only now that I'm older I realize that the music industry for many of the artists that we love is quite small, and the people who love you are quite few. I think it's clearer now than it was than. I was just emailing with Jolie Holland earlier tonight. It seemed so deceptively vast back then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38am Jan-Willem:

Not to discredit C.P. But I think I'll put on some Gun Club after Sinead has left the internet waves..
  5:39am happymaan in Atlanta:

Thanks for a great show as always. Have a great Thursday everyone.
  5:39am dan vallejo:

Haha, full of the words indeed, you're not the first to say. Anyway, do check out that Czukay track, I think a really nice thing of his later american work. There's a simpsons connection in there too, tone casualties was founded by Gabor Csupo of Klasky Csupo who made the first simpsons season. I seem to recall Csupo lived in walking distance of Frank Zappa, and that had something to do with something. Great show, thanks for putting these togeter. Okay, properly, good night all for real. Thanks again Jan and Sinead for the shout outs.
  5:41am Eric from Lake Hiawatha:

Sinead another compelling show as I toiled at work. Will we see you sing at the end of Marathon Hoof and Mouth extravaganza?
Avatar 5:43am Shea:

Great show again today, Sinead. Thanks a million and keep 'er lit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45am Jan-Willem:

Ok, thanks Dan, Looking it up now.. Listening will be for later. Good night/morning!
Avatar 5:53am Stillwell Coney Islander:

Earth Walker, hi to you ! Stillwell Ave. was named after the man who had a lot to do with the construction of the Coney Island boardwalk which begins at the street named after him. (Stillwell Ave) that begins at the corner of Surf Ave where all the rides are located.
  5:58am Colin in Durham, England:

Yes Fontaines
This is why I came
