leaky wellies are the worst
Avatar 2:06pm

aren't they just?
Avatar 2:09pm

This must have been a super-early tribute: it has El' buried at Forest Lawn rather than at Graceland
Avatar 2:10pm
worldsworstrecords:

Forest Hills, sorry

Wonderfully awful!
Avatar 2:12pm

wasn't it just?

My favorite old joke: Q: Why was Elvis buried in his own backyard like a family hamster?
A: He was too fat to flush down the toilet like a goldfish.
Avatar 2:13pm
worldsworstrecords:

hahahahaha! Love it!
Avatar 2:14pm
Davee:

I'm moving away now . . . .
Avatar 2:15pm
worldsworstrecords:

a lot of early British rock and roll was of dubious quality
Avatar 2:16pm
worldsworstrecords:

Brit listeners with know Knowles from the hit TV show DIY SOS... his piss-poor Tom Waits imitation is just ghastly
Avatar 2:17pm
worldsworstrecords:

I think this album sold about 12 copies
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm
Rich in Washington:

Oh man. Contemporary badness! Truly hideous. Great find! We often overlook the crap stuff that's directly under our noses.
Avatar 2:18pm
worldsworstrecords:

It's vile... bilious
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:19pm
Rich in Washington:

I put out a call for music submissions on my old radio show's blog and station website, really wanting more music to play, but one of my tertiary aims was to also see if I'd get assailed by horrible music. Sadly, this wasn't necessarily what happened. Oh well.
Avatar 2:20pm
worldsworstrecords:

sadly a lot of it is just mediocre
Avatar 2:21pm
worldsworstrecords:

yay! My first every studio guest!
  2:22pm
Martinibomb:

I'm with him. I think "bad music" is just misunderstood
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm
Rich in Washington:

I wonder if bad music has to ferment for a decade or so before it can be truly appreciated as such, like some pungent exotic cheese. For some reason, I don't have an ear for current badness.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm
Rich in Washington:

Yeah, the word 'bad' is so subjective.
  2:23pm
Martinibomb:

I always kinda thought that too @rich it's like shitty grapes that turn into wine over time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm
Rich in Washington:

I love Shooby's energy. I close my KBOO show with Shooby as my outro music.

Avatar 2:42pm
worldsworstrecords:

I only added this in at the last minute.. I had another track lined up but realised about 20 minutes before we went on air that it was by Daniel Johnson, not Johnston!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm
Rich in Washington:

my only real Daniel Johnston moment was sort of a Sasquatch-like sighting of him walking in and later out of the station where someone had recorded an interview with him.
Avatar 2:44pm
Davee:

Somehow I like this one . . . I guess any song about pickles is good
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm
