Bluh ... just walked over to the site cafeteria. I'm down to my last frozen burrito. Looks like it's PBJs until I run out of bread and need to hit up the grocery store.

thank you
  12:10am great mother sky:

How many of you ever thought you would live through something this? Did any of you have premonitions, dreams beforehand?
  12:10am ?:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12am coelacanth∅:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14am Aitch:

Mr Oh Sees John Dwyer must have a few Can LPs methinks. A good thing.
  12:14am great mother sky:

I've had premonitions for the past few months, but yeah didn't think it would be a virus like this. What did you think it would be coelacanth? I'm not sure I can even articulate what I thought it would be like ha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15am coelacanth∅:

hey rw

  12:15am NLsn:

Nice listening, liked the variety, the need to move forward, take chances. Works for me.

TomDash, YOU rule. Thanks, man.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22am coelacanth∅:

i just figured something...
the infrastructure will fail, and people in "civilized" countries are stupid enough that life is now practically dependent on it. "we've" chosen computer-dependent versions of almost everything that we could have a mechanical version of.
when (not if) the world wide web fails, most of us will have no communications, no fuel, no electricity -therefore no food, no water.
most of us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22am Ignatatus666:

Good Morning Tom Dash
Are you at a remote location?
  12:24am great mother sky:

I don't think the Internet will fail, and if it does we will all pull together to help one another. In every major world disaster there have always been people that come together and pull through.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28am TomDash:

Hey Ignat666 - nope, at the mother ship! Scott Williams gave it a MAJOR clean!
  12:29am rw:

So far people seem to be much nicer and more compliant than I would have expected. I'm waiting for the stress to kick in.
  12:31am great mother sky:

WFMU is a great stress reliever right now.
  12:31am rw:

Today a co-worker said she had been home with her husband and son for one day and they were already wondering how many divorces and cases of domestic abuse this thing would cause!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31am coelacanth∅:

rw i've experienced that too, for the most part.
  12:32am great mother sky:

Yeah rw, I've thought the same thing.
  12:33am great mother sky:

When your mind wanders to those thoughts, bring them back to the music and listen.
  12:34am rw:

gms, good plan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43am Ignatatus666:

Even if internet goes down as long as satellite is up
The US military purchased the Nextel technology when spring bought Nextel. Sprint had already created alternative technology. The Nextel technology can not be unscrambled. Just a brief FYI
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43am coelacanth∅:

the good thing about having a skeleton crew is you don't have to feed them

  1:24am Adam West Coaster:

@Ignatatus666, Venom cover. \m/
  1:26am rw:

Holy crap. Today IS St. Patty's day. Weird how it slipped by unnoticed!
  1:27am ignatatus666:

  1:59am rw:

Hey! This Eno caught my attention and had to check back in. I gave this LP as a wedding gift a few years ago. The couple walked down the aisle to the regular album version of this song!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00am Yes:

i have had thursday afternoon as my "serenity now"music for the past 48 hours
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00am TomDash:

rw = love the LP version...almost played it - YLT covered it during their FMU Marathon show...
  2:01am rw:

TD, it's a good one!
  2:02am rw:

Unfortunately I missed the YLT Marathon show!
Avatar 2:04am JakeGould:

@rw: That is dark but realistic. I’ve already seen some people crack under pressure in public. Also, remember in a city like NYC many roommates don’t really interact with each other because of work schedules. Now, it’s all like a lifeboat situation. 4 weeks from now the social tension might be truly scary.
Avatar 2:05am JakeGould:

@TomDash: So how are you going to deal with the curfew? I assume driving in and driving out of New Jersey after 8:00pm will work?
  2:07am rw:

Jake! Yeah, it will be interesting to see how this all plays out. I have hope, even with my realist tendencies.
Avatar 2:09am JakeGould:

@rw: Yup. I have also told people I personally know who are edgy that you can’t sprint a marathon. Figure out ways to chill whenever you can if you can. If you are working from home the unwritten rule is basically just rest, relax and be available if something happens. But that’s only for some who can work remotely.

Also, be nice to the service workers who are still going to work to do things. Like make food and deliver food.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10am TomDash:

Hey @JakeGould - yeah I drive in from Brooklyn, but will shall see what happens in NYC too!
  2:14am rw:

You can't sprint a marathon. Good advice! I may steal that from you if you don't mind.
Avatar 2:15am JakeGould:

@rw: Nope. I came up with that idea and analogy on my own and plan on making tote bags with that on it so hey…
  2:16am rw:

Damn. Well let me know when the tote bags are available then.
  2:19am rw:

I work half on location and half at home. I'm a little worried about going stir crazy. Work has already slowed almost to a halt. My son said he's been reading reddit posts about people under quarantine. A big complaint is that they don't have materials to do home improvement projects.
Avatar 2:19am modern blaze:

i guess it's too dark in NJ right now
  2:23am JakeGould:

My home improvement project for the next four weeks (at least?) is self care. Including prepping my own food. Not the biggest cook here but don’t usually cook because of time. Now that we’re all working from home we can cook things that grandparents cooked that take 5-6 hours to make. I mean what else can we do?
  2:26am rw:

Ha! In my own panic grocery binge yesterday I bought stuff to make veg. chili. Maybe tomorrow!
  2:32am rw:

And when I say binge... I was on a bicycle, so not way out of control.
  2:33am JakeGould:

I have a lot of potatoes right now. That is all.
  2:33am rw:

So YOU'RE the one who bought all the potatoes!
  2:45am rw:

TomDash, It's past my bed time. Thanks for staying up late and playing records for us! Super. Good night everyone! Have a good week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46am TomDash:

My pleasure and thanks as always, rw! Hope to be back live next week!
  2:50am JakeGould:

I have all the potatoes.
Avatar 2:56am modern blaze:

i cooked almost all the potatoes yesterday
Avatar 2:57am modern blaze:
