Photocopy Cha Cha:

is there any public transport in your cities/towns/whatever? Here in this quiet Finnish town yes, buses and trains run, but subject to cancellations of course and the only passengers are freaks like me with no other means of transport. I am truly paranoid about having to use it to travel the nearby city to use a launderette.... sooner or later will have to - my partner's washing machine said "thanks-goodnight" - mine said so years ago. Perfect timing. Not to mention both of us are in the risk groups to a degree (me - blood pressure too high, meds don't help much). gotta stay positive, like Julie here played the three favourite tracks on mine from the respective albums of Bowie, Floyd & Doors (there is no shame liking the doors really)
Avatar 1:25pm
Julie:

ooh glad you enjoyed them Cha Cha! There is still public transportation here in NYC but it's relatively empty. I took an uber yesterday and the driver had a layer of thick plastic taped behind him.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm

Oh, very much here for this 70s supergold!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm
Andrew Waterloo:

@Cha, Interesting question. We just installed a Light Rail Transit. According to the site they've changed hours. You're supposed to board buses at the back door, and you don't have to tap the fair box or insert cash. With the LRT you pay at a tap terminal before boarding.
Avatar 1:30pm
Photocopy Cha Cha:

it's weird, I consider myself to be a selfish bastard, but at the moment i am not so worried about myself, rather than my partner who can not work from home, and yes public transport as the means of getting there. Or a dear friend who works as a nurse to disabled people. No working from home option there either of course.
