Bonjour-hi! Otis, I'm jealous that you saw Sunergy played live. I did see Suzanne Ciani in NYC in 2016, almost by accident!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am
Kat in Chicago:

I had Lucky Charms for breakfast (don't judge, I don't make a habit of it) so I expect I ingested some red and yellow food coloring by way of that.

Hi Kat... I still don't understand why the apple balls are "cooking mexican style" + the raisin on top is confounding.

I forgot she was on Emergency and I am not sure I ever knew that detail, Martinibomb! Emergency was around the time I mostly quit watching TV as a teen.

I remember those little McCormick glass bottles, and the squeeze plastic ones with the pointy tops too. Do they still make those?

Ha, I knew Martinibomb would know Emergency. Right when I said it, I thought BOMB!

hey otis. I'm liking the synth pop. were you talking about the recent ace compilation of provincial british synth pop?
Avatar 11:44am

Oh, I don't know the Ace comp Malcolm. The one I played is from the Cherry Red comp. So many good post-punk to minimal and synth wave reissues out, it's mind (good) staggering. Please share.

Remember watching Emergency a bit when it was on Network TV. I kind of got away from all those TV shows. Her husband Bobby Troup was on there too. The girls at home right now love 9-1-1 the TV show.. They keep on finding imaginative disaster scenarios.
  11:52am
Martinibomb:

I never saw those shows like Emergency. I've been watching the reruns. Yeh she was married to Bobby Troup the guy who played Joe Early and wrote the song Route 66. She was also married to Jack Webb before that.
Avatar 11:53am

I also loved “Emergency.” Nurse Dixie McCall was an early crush. I didnt know about Julie London’s music career yet. I was, like, seven.

Want to hear a story before I leave for lunch? This old swing/big band Dj retired a few years ago due to ill heath. Play Julie and Bobby Troup a lot. Once after he played Bobby he said on-air "And that's Bobby Troup who seen Julie London naked"
Avatar 12:03pm
Otis:

That is the correct answer. Thank you Fab!
  12:03pm
Martinibomb:

They were really worried that other songs were coming in a little bit over the song playing before it.

As long as it stays on, it's good. I use a scarf, wash it when I get home @melinda

it's just weird times we are in where you have to wear a coffee filter over your face while you shop for vegetables. Very Terry Gilliam or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm
melinda:

@Martini I'm not ready to embrace ridiculous yet and go all out. Ideally the mask would look home-made so no one thinks I'm a mask-hoarder, but not snout-like. There are a ton of DIY mask videos but my home craft supplies are very limited, I don't even have a working stapler or I would go the paper-towel route.
