Hey WFMU Land! I feel like you guys can help me. I'm trying to remember a song I've heard on the station a couple times - I don't recall the DJs. The song is kind of new wave/postpunk. It's about a park & I think the name of the song includes the name of the park. The song is about how the narrator enjoys visiting the park. He/she works a boring day job in an office & loves to visit this park. Anyone?

Suicide front-man Alan Vega described his admiration of LMO: "Red Transistor... Von LMO sang and played guitar and Rudolph Grey was on guitar or bass and it was total insanity. Von LMO was a nut, a great nut. I was afraid to be in the same room as him. One night they played at Max's and everyone was too afraid to sit up front as they smashed guitars and things were flying all over the place. I went into the front room in fear of my life and tried to get everyone to come with me. Nobody came with me because it was such an intense show."

I think we could have shows where every band member on stage is in their own isolation booth and every chair in the theater is similarly separated, I expect some decontamination protocols, jet sprays or something, would have to be installed as a time saving measure.

Malkovich made for a great weird pope on New Pope recently.

Mr. Pumpy:

A bit ago, probably when around the Nape Neck tune, I was unloading groceries from my car and a woman walked by across the way on speaker phone. It sounded just like Creamo's voice! No shit. And he said something to the effect of, "And all that over a couple of fucking crackers!" Creamo, were you, perhaps, talking to a woman in her 60's around that time. She kind of looked like Wilford Brimley. If so, and it was your mum, or a beloved aunt, or special lady even...please know she looked like Wilford Brimley in the best possible way! Otherwise, be aware that you have a voice doppelgänger out there.

This transition to an all-video life is rough over here. It's valuing stuff we never valued, like new and updated tech. One of Kate's FL teaching gigs gave her till 5 PM to send in five video lessons. We are tech wrasslin' like mofos over here.

I would much rather wrassle dogs. Even alligators.

Had most of the show on earphones while filming her do the lessons. Sounds freaking great, Creamo.

Knew an old guy in DUMBO, Dolphy Lundgren, cousin of Eric Dolphy. He had all kinds of crazy stories about the NYC jazz scene back in the day. He was telling me how one time Hendrix and Miles jammed in some basement on the LES along with a few other folks. Apparently Hendrix could hold his own playing bop, according to Dolphy.
