finally dared to buy a butternut squash (inspired by, but did not try the recipe from Feast In The Middle East) -- it actually came out okay!

@Mark, oh the only reason we're not just going with Zoom is that I am kicking up a fuss. You should hear me every time someone wants to talk about our Facebook strategy!
I have found meet.jit.si works well for one-on-one but gets glitchy for larger groups. Not sure if anyone else has. My hardware is also ancient and limiting.

@Mark, as you know, I am always up for anti-platform strategies. Lay it on me!
Are you going to try the home-broadcast route, Mark? Not that I'm pressuring! The combo of recorded show and active accu presence is working really well, I think, and the boards seem more active lately?

@ngh, I at least have established a reputation as a far outlier among both friends and family (and work ... and other volunteers ... local wildlife ... actual ET aliens): I have never even had a mobile phone!
Though sometimes it's that kind of stance that makes "as a community organization, we're really betraying our principles and constituency by being on Facebook" easier for other to dismiss.

In contrasts, the vintage U.S. made bandanas are tight knit and don’t bleed out dyes. Very good quality.

i used to have a bunch of black lightweight (cotton/nylon?) balaclavas -- but of course NOW i cannot find them, hah!
and the bandana that i may still have is black with a white skull and crossbones -- not exactly appropriate, imho :(

who knows, may help keep all the joggers away!
(for real, everyone seems pretty mindful about the social distancing thing, EXCEPT these joggers! even during "normal" times, not crazy about how they are huffing and puffing and sweating all over everyone!)
