Nick, I was blessed to do sound not just for that Tashi/Bishop session at Monty (with Scott K), but also Richard's session for Dan Bodha. Both exceedingly memorable nights, but the Richard Youngs session is probably #1 ever, at the very least Top 2 - magical and life-changing

Nick Name/ Scott: Nice! I bet that Tashi/ Bishop double bill was a great night. I heard Tashi and Tyler play in Chicago in their group with Dave Rempis back in January of this year. Real nice combination of approaches there with Dave's swinging post-Ornette language on the saxophones.

Hi, Nick and peeps. I remember the live set on Dan's show. Wasn't there a story where Mr. Youngs tried out the WFMU organ and used that for the show instead of the instruments he planned? I somehow remember that detail (remembering it correctly or incorrectly, maybe).

Ken, yep! He was touring a bunch of songs performed on acoustic guitar. When he got here, Dan B wisely showed him the Lowrey organ. Richard turned it on, played for a minute - asked for 5 minutes to completely rearrange "Spin Me Endless in the Universe", then came back and said "change of plans!" He performed the entire set on the organ, and I've never been so entranced
