	♥ 12:40pm spodiodi: i made some money on my casino too... but mostly liked building things, like slot machines for the casinos, or vehicles (had a nice modified cylon ship) and buildings, particle emitters, etc. also had a nice feud with a virtual neighbor, where we'd keep building our buildings taller than the others'

She said: 1) usually are in training, also supervision by another therapist. 2) the good ones complete a full course of therapy. 3) not enough are in or have completed therapy.

	♥ 1:13pm spodiodi: Mayuko, i made the most of it (for me) -- it could get boring really quickly too, and it had technical problems (which greatly impacted [fast] vehicles [which were one of the main things i was interested in]). traveling any real distance meant hopping between servers, and that was often glitchy, and kind of killed the illusion)

	♥ 1:37pm Franco Twinkie: JosephB , Between Chresti and myself, we have spent a small fortune at all three Amoeba stores - San Francisco, Berkeley and Hollywood, since the stores inception. Amoeba has been in financial trouble for quite a long time. Through no fault of their own, but by the changing nature of how music is consumed. I've see it with my own eyes! Long before this current disaster, the once raging stores are almost empty. What is the fix, make people buy more records and CD's? Harder than making people stay inside the house, I'd wager.

	1:46pm JosephB: @Franco, I was well aware of Amoeba's situation prior to covid. I agree, music consumption is changing. I'm also not much of a physical collector these days due to space limitations in my living space (I wish I could fit a record player in my living room setup, but it's actually really hard!). Still, I want to support a place like Amoeba. There is something wonderful about record/book/video stores that I think is worth preserving. For instance, wfmu is more than a web presence -- it's a physical radio station that exists in a particular locality, and I think there is value in that.

	1:51pm northguineahills: Visiting my parents, and their next door lady is a cat lady (some 20+ cats, since then, my parents noticed a decrease in birds, but also a decrease in squirrels). I did see a turltle laying eggs in their yard today.

She said: 1) usually are in training, also supervision by another therapist. 2) the good ones complete a full course of therapy. 3) not enough are in or have completed therapy.

Amoeba has been in financial trouble for quite a long time. Through no fault of their own, but by the changing nature of how music is consumed. I've see it with my own eyes! Long before this current disaster, the once raging stores are almost empty. What is the fix, make people buy more records and CD's? Harder than making people stay inside the house, I'd wager.

	1:46pm JosephB: @Franco, I was well aware of Amoeba's situation prior to covid. I agree, music consumption is changing. I'm also not much of a physical collector these days due to space limitations in my living space (I wish I could fit a record player in my living room setup, but it's actually really hard!). Still, I want to support a place like Amoeba. There is something wonderful about record/book/video stores that I think is worth preserving. For instance, wfmu is more than a web presence -- it's a physical radio station that exists in a particular locality, and I think there is value in that.
