@Rev, you'll need to rewind to that Ophibre "Podium" track to hear the meeting we were having while you were at your meeting.

Right on -That Roman Nose piece was a maximum trip, the drumming, the looped tapey pulse, the burps. Perfect day strangeness/ sonic inversions. And Perry Robinson tune is also swinging it right. Digging all this fine drumming in this set for sure, the current Tony Irving included. Thanks for the percussive build this afternoon Fabio!

I remember this was a big hit on wmca good guys in the 60s

It stalled at number three from Eleanor by The Turtles

I love Perry Robinson. He'd play occasionally with this jazz combo at Pedro's in DUMBO in the early 2000s. Shared many a joint with him and the band between sets, he's a great guy.

@Mariano: right on regarding Perry Robinson. I always dig hearing his sense of swing. And hearing the deep pulse of the late master Henry Grimes on that cut too, ideal coordination of energies and momentum.

Just learned this a couple of years ago in my meandering around the web, but apparently back in Victorian times in Britain, there was a group calling itself the Skeleton Army who used to get into street fights with the Salvation Army. At the time the SA were a major part of the temperance movement and the Skeletons, well, they weren't too keen on temperance by the sound of it. en.wikipedia.org...
